Chelsea legend Graeme Le Saux admits he’s worried about his former side’s trip to Wembley on Sunday and says Tottenham’s options in midfield could see them ‘overpower’ the Blues.

Antonio Conte’s men travel to north-west London with a depleted squad following suspensions for Gary Cahill and Cesc Fabregas.

New signing Tiemoue Bakayoko has declared himself available for the trip but he’s unlikely to be risked and one of David Luiz or Andreas Christensen could be paired with N’Golo Kante in a makeshift midfield.

Tottenham are likely to line-up with a midfield three and Le Saux is worried that his former side will be overrun.

‘It can be a big advantage for Spurs,’ Le Saux told the Daily Mail.

‘A three-man midfield for Spurs of Dier, Wanyama and Dembele – you’re in business there, or two of those three.

‘They will be against Kante plus one other. Midfield is the key area of the pitch because Chelsea, last season they dominated in midfield with the combination of Matic and Kante and then Fabregas, they had him if they needed him – but now they look light.’

Chelsea kicked off their title defence with a 3-2 defeat to Burnley last Saturday.

After their trip to Wembley, the Blues face tough challenges against Everton, Leicester and Arsenal and Conte will be keen to get a result against Spurs to get some points on the board.
