Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho says Ashley Young and Luke Shaw will play for the club’s U23s on Monday.

The duo have been out of action since April and Mourinho originally claimed Young would not be fit until October and Shaw until September.

United kicked off their Premier League campaign with a convincing 4-0 win against West Ham on Sunday and travel to Swansea on Saturday.

Mourinho says United have no new injury problems ahead of the clash at the Liberty Stadium but Shaw and Young will play for the club’s u23s on Monday.

‘Everybody is fine. The next week, on Monday, in the Under-23s game, Luke Shaw and Ashley Young are playing their first minutes of competition this season,’ Mourinho told MUTV.

‘It is like a pre-season match for them. But it is good news because, when they can play with the Under-23s, it is because the last week they trained with us all week so they are both coming [back].’
