Jose Mourinho has complained that Manchester United’s fans were too quiet during the victory over Leicester on Saturday.

The Red Devils won 2-0 at Old Trafford thanks to goals from Marcus Rashford and Marouane Fellaini.

The result maintained Manchester United’s 100% start to the season and sees them sitting top of the Premier League heading into the international break.

But while that sounds like much for fans to cheer about, Mourinho complained that they only made themselves heard when Rashford made the breakthrough midway through the second half.

‘I didn’t see the first goal. I was speaking with Jesse Lingard because Lingard was going to be the next player to come on,’ Mourinho said.

‘I saw the ball in the net and all the guys jumping around. It was the first time I saw the crowd. They were very quiet.

‘It was easy to know that was a goal because it was the first time I really understood the stadium was full.’
