Chelsea have tabled an offer Torino full-back Davide Zappacosta, according to reports in Italy.
Zappacosta has made 52 appearances for Torino since his debut for the Serie A outfit back in 2015 but the 25-year-old defender is being heavily linked with a move to Stamford Bridge before the summer transfer window slams shut.
The Premier League champions’ failed bid for Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has meant Antonio Conte has had to assess other options, with the Italian desperate for reinforcements at right-back.
La Gazzetta dello Sport suggest the Blues have submitted an offer for Zappacosta and claim that Conte would be willing to spend £23million plus bonuses on the Italy international.
Cedric Soares and Serge Aurier have also been on Chelsea’s radar in recent days.
Zappacosta’s team-mate for club and country, Andrea Belotti, was being eyed as a possible replacement for Diego Costa by Chelsea earlier this summer.
However, the Italian club insisted any club wanting to sign Belotti would have to trigger the striker’s mammoth £92m release clause.
