Los Angeles, CA - In an event hosted by Adidas and soccer powerhouse, Real Madrid, a group of local Southern California teens between the ages of 15 to 18 experienced the opportunity of a lifetime when they participated in a private training session with the team.

Real Madrid is in Los Angeles for a friendly match against Major League Soccer's best team, the Los Angeles Galaxy. This match will take place in the Rosebowl in Pasadena, CA on Saturday, August 7, 2010.

Celebrating with a local youth soccer player after he scored

For these Southern California teens, what a story they're going to share to their classmates, friends, and family! Not only did they conduct drills and scrimmages, they conducted these drills with Madrid stars including Xabi Alonso, Gonzalo Higuaín, Cristiano Ronaldo and Iker Casillas. Who else to conduct the drill was none other than new Madrid manager Jose Mourinho.

Along with the training with Real Madrid, these teens also had the opportunity to celebrate with the stars after scoring a goal. Now how cool is that?! How many of us will be able to say that we were trained by a world-class manager while training with a world-class soccer club?

What an experience!

Throughout the course of the training session, the teens met and greeted with the team. It was a fantastic opportunity for them to ask Madrid players about life on/off the pitch and the preparation required to compete at that level. With a day like this, I'm sure this group of Southern Cal teens will be soccer fans for life.
