Arsene Wenger has been Arsenal's longest reigning and most successful manager.

Throughout his career, Wenger has come under severe criticism sometimes even from Arsenal fans and despite. All these people who say that it is time for him to leave are out of their senses. Wenger has transformed Arsenal and has molded them into a European powerhouse. He is the right man to take Arsenal forward and although he might have failed to win a major trophy for the past 5 years, that has been purely due to the circumstances. Arsenal fans are lucky to have him in-charge of their club and they have to appreciate his contributions and not criticise it.

Wenger is a fine coach and in my opinion the world's greatest manager and here's why.

    Please feel free to comment.

This ranks as not just Wenger's greatest achievement, but also one of the greatest achievements in world football. No manager in the world can boast of leading their team to an unbeaten season.

This achievement is testimony to Wenger's skill as a manager and the belief he instilled in his squad. The mental fortitude required to go an entire season unbeaten is immense. The squad displayed tenacity, will power to achieve this feat. They were solid at the back and ruthless going forward.

Remarkably, Wenger had said that his side could go unbeaten in 2002 but many just wrote him off. The rest like they say is history, Arsenal did that and Wenger and his side went into the history books as the only team in contemporary football to pull off this remarkable feat.

Throughout his spell at Arsenal, Wenger has made extremely smart decisions whether it be in buying new players or selling them. It is the role of the manager to know when it is the right time to sell a player. This is invariably the best option for the club and Wenger has excelled when it has come to this aspect.

Wenger knows when its the right time to sell a player. Nicolas Anelka is a perfect example of this. " Le Sulk" was signed by Wenger from PSG and two years later sold him off for 22.5 million to Real Madrid. With this money Wenger bought a certain Thierry Henry and Pires. This is just one example of how Wenger has made huge profits for the club.

Arsenal's record signing is Arshavin for 16 million and when considering the quality of players Wenger has signed this shows this exploits as great negotiator. Throughout the years, Wenger has signed world-class talent for small sums, Thomas Vermaelen a more recent example. While other top clubs have been spending huge sums on signing players, Wenger has been building his squad with inexpensive but quality players.

His smart dealing has ensured that the club shows healthy returns and it always ensures that Arsenal have the money to spend if an emergency arises.

    " Boring, Boring Arsenal"

That used to be that chant that characterised Arsenal under the George Graham era. But all that has become a thing of the past under the helm of Wenger. For years Arsenal have associated with a more direct approach which was largely dependent on their defenders. But now he has incorporated into his Arsenal side, the art of beautiful football. T

Wenger has transformed Arsenal into a team that plays some of the most attractive football in the planet. Quick passes, beautiful one touch football, nimble footed players are all features of Arsenal's play. Arsenal's goals involve a multitude of quick passes and requires great off the ball movement which is a joy to watch. Opponents tend to get frustrated with Arsenal's long spells of possession. Arsenal have also started scoring for fun under Wenger.

Although it maybe ineffective at times and frustrating in equal measure, Wenger's success in changing Arsenal's approach is no small achievement and its success makes it another of Wenger's great accomplishments.

Arsenal fan or not there is no denying that Arsenal's style of play are a visual treat and is equally devastating.

For any manager and team to become successful, the manager requires  the full backing of the players. History has shown that whenever a player or players start to revolt or have differences with the manager on a large scale there is an extremely adverse effect on the performances on the team. Like the French team recently showed, mutiny among the ranks can have a potentially disastrous effect on the team.

Arsene Wenger has never faced that problem. Players may have fallen out with the fans, but never with the coach. Wenger acts as a father figure, a mentor for many of Arsenal's young players. This has ensured a smooth relationship between the players and it has helped in keeping away off-field problems.

Throughout the years, Wenger has had the same assistant, which has a great influence on the team. It has ensured that Arsenal do not face the problems that Chelsea are facing now.

One has to applaud Wenger's professionalism in handling his players which has ensured that there is no unnecessary distraction for the team.

Most Players Seem To Have Their Best Years at Arsenal

Most Arsenal players generally have their best years in an Arsenal jersey. The likes of Thierry Henry, Patrick Vieira, Robert Pires all chose to move on after spending several years at Arsenal, but their careers will forever be remembered for their contributions to Arsenal. In ,Henry’s case, he was struggling at Juventus when Wenger bought him. Henry went on to become one of the most feared strikers in the world  and after moving to Barca failed to capture his previous form.

But Dennis Bergkamp’s success at Arsenal just showed how Wenger could bring the best out of his players. Ridiculed by the media and struggling to find form at Inter, Bergkamp became one of the world’s best second strikers at Arsenal.

Wenger has been successful in bringing the best out of his players and most of them thrive under his guidance. Even younger players like Flamini, Hleb who chose to go for greener pastures were unable to ever regain their scintillating form that brought them to the spotlight.  Wenger is generally extremely patient with his players and he provides them time to get settled into the rigours of the Premier League.  Take the case of Nasri for instance. Despite flattering to deceive in the earlier stages of his career, Wenger stuck in his faith in the young Frenchman, and hasn’t he delivered.

The careers of Tony Adams and Lee Dixon to were extended to a large extent thanks largely due to Wenger’s coaching methods and dietary regime.

Young or old, under Wenger most players seem to perform admirably at Arsenal and they have failed to replicate the same form with another club.

Eye For Talent

Throughout his spell as Arsenal manager, Wenger has picked up countless youngsters who have then gone onto become world beaters.

Under Wenger Arsenal have established a comprehensive scouting system and have acquired talent from all across the globe. Wenger has snapped up various players at a young age and transformed, moulded them into world beaters.

It is extremely difficult to spot a talent at a young age, but Wenger has signed many talented players from various clubs and countries. Arsenal’s current captain, Cesc Fabregas is a player who was snapped up by Wenger at the age of 16 and has then gone on to become one of the world’s finest midfielders.

Wenger’s eye for talent ensures that Arsenal always have depth in their squad and there is an influx and addition of bright prospects into the side.

Stringent Financial Play

Ever since Arsenal built the Emirates stadium, Wenger has adopted and extremely stringent and astute financial steps which has left the club in an extremely stable and comfortable position in the financial aspect.

As shown by Liverpool, financial problems can have an extremely detrimental impact on the club. But Wenger's frugal spending has ensured that Arsenal will not face a crisis in the near time, this despite building a world-class 60,000 seater stadium.

Over the past few years, Wenger's net spending has been considerably less than most teams including Chelsea, Manchester United and of course Manchester City. Even North London rivals, Tottenham have spent more and yet find themselves finishing behind Arsenal in the table every year. Despite teams continuing to invest large amounts in their squad, Wenger has continued to maintain a strict wage structure and his smart handling of the resources will reap rich dividends in a few years time if not this year.

For the past few years, Arsenal have been showing healthy returns, posting profits: a fact very few clubs can boast about. Arsenal are also nearly there in fulfilling their debt on the Emirates stadium. Also Arsenal are the third most valuable club in the world only behind Man Utd and Real Madrid.

Almost every top manager in the world has a decent amount to spend every year. Trophy winning sides of Barcelona and Inter Milan too have spent close to 50 million. When one looks at this figure and compares it to what Wenger has spent, one has to really applaud Wenger's efforts. Wenger built a squad almost from scratch and his squad is playing some of the most attractive football in the world and is competing for titles on all fronts.

Youth Policy

Like mentioned in the previous slide, Wenger has been forced to adopt a strict set of financial rules for the sake of the club. Wenger's most expensive signing is Arshavin for 16 million which seems an extremely small amount when you compare it to the amount of money being spent by other clubs who are yet less successful.

In Arsenal's current squad, 11 of his players have signed for Arsenal before the age of 20. Most of Arsenal's players are below the age of 25. This shows that many are yet to reach their peak and have still a lot to learn and a long way to go. When considering the amount of experience they already have, this makes Arsenal in an extremely comfortable position couple of years down the line.

Arsene Wenger has integrated many of the youngsters into the first team which has ensured that Arsenal have lots of quality depth in their squad which has been clearly highlighted this season.

Despite playing with a relatively young squad, Arsenal have been a real powerhouse on all fronts. Arsene Wenger's visionary youth policy is a wonderful and brave attempt at success which is reaping rich rewards and his mission is something that very few managers would have dreamt of let alone execute with such perfection.

Loyalty

Arsene Wenger has spent fourteen years at the club. He has won almost everything there is to win at the club level.

Despite getting numerous offers to move to several other clubs most notably Real Madrid, Wenger has decided to stay with Arsenal and continue to fight out to achieve more success.

Wenger could easily have spent huge sums on buying players who could achieved him instant success and swelled up his trophy cabinet. Yet he chose not to. He decided to adopt a policy that was best for the club in the long run. He has provided Arsenal with stability and Arsenal now have a strong platform from which they can achieve success.

He has devoted the large part of his career to ensure that the club will remain stable and afloat.

Although many of his critics have attacked Wenger for Arsenal's title drought over the past five years, it is ultimately due to circumstances.

Ever since, Wenger has been in charge of Arsenal, they have qualified for Europe's most prestigious competition every year. Under Wenger Arsenal have secured the Premier League thrice including two seasons in which they completed the double of FA Cup and Premier League. Arsenal have won the FA Cup another two times.

Almost every year, Arsenal have been involved in the title race and have competed for honours on both the domestic and European fronts.

Under Wenger, Arsenal have become on of Europe's most consistent clubs and most of this has been due to Arsenal's fantastic manager Arsene Wenger.

Conclusions

Arsene Wenger is not perfect. But who is. Arsene Wenger is in my opinion the world's finest manager. But that does not take away any of the achievements of other great managers. The likes of Alex Ferguson, Jose Mourinho, Louis Van Gaal and Fabio Capello are all fantastic managers in their own way.

But for all those Arsenal fans out there criticising Wenger and calling for his removal, Arsene Wenger is the greatest thing that has ever happened to Arsenal. He is revolutionary, a man who transformed a club from mediocrity to greatness, a man who can work miracles, money or no money.

As an Arsenal fan, a fan of Wenger and a fan of the beautiful game, I say proudly like most Arsenal fans
