While football can be an incredibly serious sport, there is still plenty of room for amusing moments, at all levels of the game. This slideshow will take us from Iceland to Qatar to Brazil as the global game lives up to its name.

So, here's a list of the 25 funniest moments in world football 2010. The list is in no particular order, so feel free to pick your favourite moment and let me know what it is!

Car Celebration

1 of 25

Real Sociedad's Griezmann decided to use a prop for his celebration, but didn't think that a simple corner flag would suffice. Luckily, a promotional car was within range and Griezmann led his teammates to the car for a short drive.

Pep Guardiola Sells Ronaldo a Dummy

2 of 25

In the first El Classico of the season, Ronaldo went to Pep Guardiola to collect the ball for a throw-in. However, Real Madrid's talisman wasn't quite ready for Guardiola's speed as he offloaded the ball to Messi before Ronaldo could lay claim to it.

It was an amusing, embarrassing moment, much like the night as a whole, which saw Real lose 5-0.

Van Der Vaart Hits Camera Man

Rafael Van der Vaart curls in a beautiful practice free kick before a World Cup game, but takes out a FIFA employee in the process.

Harry Redknapp: I'm Not a Wheeler Dealer

'Arry didn't take to kindly to being called a "wheeler and dealer" and had a bit of a go at the Sky Sports interviewer.

Unfortunately, Redknapp decided to swear a couple of times so I won't put the video up on this website, but here's the link:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gVWesX8bYx4&feature=related

Cristiano Ronaldo Goes Mental Vs Spain

5 of 25

You have to feel sorry for Ronaldo, it would've been a pretty amazing goal, but his tantrum after seeing his effort disallowed due to Nani's touch from an offside position is pretty funny.

Still, Portugal still won 4-0 against Spain so it wasn't too bad a night for Ronaldo.

Robert Green's Fumble

6 of 25

Rob Green gifted the USA a goal after failing to gather a weak long range shot. England fans didn't find this at all amusing; it set the tone for a disastrous World Cup for the English team. Just about everyone else did find it funny though as Robert Green followed in a long line of England goalkeepers who have made horrific mistakes.

South Korean Handball

7 of 25

This is one of the strangest handballs you will ever see.

The ball flies up into the air after hitting the crossbar, and the South Korean defender simply catches the ball. She must have thought it had gone out for a goal kick, but she caught the ball well inside the line. Still, much to her misery and everyone elses amusement, a penalty was awarded and the German Women U20's continued on their way to winning the tournament.

Louis Van Gaal Falls Over

8 of 25

Louis van Gaal embarrasses himself after his team score by failing to stay on his feet while running. Admittedly, scoring was probably a big moment for Bayern Munich, but everyone else managed to stay up right until bundling in on their manager.

Kei Kamara

9 of 25

The first time you watch this, you think he's scored without a problem. The ball's on the line and all he has to do is tap it in. However, Kei Kamara missed the ball as he slid in before connecting with his hand, something the officials were impressively quick to spot.

I'm honestly not sure how he managed to fail so badly.

Own Goal From a Goal Kick

10 of 25

This is a pretty improbable goal. A strong wind and the defensive lapse led to one of the funniest goals of the year.

Unfortunately, I have no idea who the teams are, but nonetheless, it is an utterly awesome goal.

Adebayor's Phone Rings on TV

11 of 25

Emmanuel Adebayor was a pundit for the BBC during the World Cup and his lack of experience in broadcast journalism soon showed when his phone rang during a live television programme.

He didn't even turn the phone off after the first call, so the phone promptly rang again. Adebayor then sent a text whilst trying to hide his phone under the desk. It didn't work.

Guy Gets Owned Trying to Touch World Cup Trophy

12 of 25

This violent opening to the 2010 World Cup final set the tone for the match itself, which saw some heavy challenges.

Jimmy Jump, a professional pitch invader, made an attempt to place a beanie on the World Cup, coming remarkably close before being taken out by a security guard.

The video has the tactical breakdown of the incident.

Commentator Faints

13 of 25

Brazilian commentator Zé Batista couldn't handle the 37C heat and after looking a bit ill, passed out on live television.

The camera quickly cut away, but not before Zé Batista keeled over and head-butted a clip board.

Khalid Askri

14 of 25

Askri might have been slightly careless here by not checking where the ball was, but it was still ridiculously unlucky, and highly amusing.

Oh well, at least this sort of thing only happen to you once...

Khalid Askri Take Two

15 of 25

You've got to feel sorry for this guy, he just can't catch a break. First the spinning penalty, and now this.

Still, it's a very original response to making an embarrassing mistake. I'm not really sure why he took his shirt off, but he showed some impressive dodging skills. Perhaps it's a skill he can use in a new career.

Ian Holloway

16 of 25

It was too hard to pick a single moment of Ian Holloway's banter, so here's a compilation of some of his finest interview moments. They aren't just from 2010, but still, it's pretty funny.

Ian Holloway's interviews at Blackpool this season have won him plenty of fans, whilst also alienating everyone from Wayne Rooney to FIFA to the Premier League to snoods.

Diego Deodone Gets Kicked in The Face

17 of 25

This must have been incredibly painful, but that doesn't stop it being equally funny.

The defender goes to clear the ball after Deodone makes a last gasp block, but Deodone's face gets in the way of his team-mates' shin, which is travelling at full speed.

He even seems to get his head into the perfect position to get kicked!

Guilherme Goes For a Slide

18 of 25

In the Brazilian second division, Guilherme was on the receiving end of a firm shoulder barge, and was unable to prevent himself from falling down some oddly placed stairs.

At least the short slide he took just before falling put him in the perfect stair sliding position.

North Korea Train

19 of 25

There was a lot of controversy surrounding North Korea going into the 2010 World Cup, with fake fans, and fears for the players if they were to perform badly.

The players themselves don't appear to have been too worried by all of this, focusing on some serious training.

I don't quite know what they hope to achieve with this exercise, but as the man in the studio points out, it's a dangerous game.

Chris Kamara

20 of 25

Chris Kamara works as a reporter for Sky Sports, but managed not to spot a red card for Portsmouth's Anthony Vanden Borre, much to the amusement of his colleagues.

Five Consecutive Misses

21 of 25

In this match from the Greek second division, Veria FC somehow managed to miss five glorious chances to score in the space of just a few seconds.

As you watch, you think that there is no way they can miss the next chance, but they do, every time.

    Veria lost 1-0.

Jessica Kalstrop

22 of 25

German Sky Sports presenter Jessica Kastrop got hit on the head while doing pre-match commentary for a Bundesliga match.

I love the way the ball curls in just at the end to hit her square on the back of the head.

Fahad Khalfan

23 of 25

This Qatar striker had an absolute nightmare against Uzbekistan, somehow managing to miss when all he had to do was walk the ball over the line.

The miss essentially eliminated Qatar from the 2010 Asian Games, but it did earn Khalfan a place in footballing history.

Inter Vs Siena Commentary

24 of 25

Inter Milan came from behind to win 4-3 against Siena, but the true highlight was the commentary from an Inter fan as he watched Inter scored the last two goals.

The guys in the studio are pretty funny as well.

Stjarnan FC

25 of 25

Stjarnan FC play in the Icelandic Premier League, not one of the World's most prestigious leagues. However, they shot to fame this year after the incredible celebrations they started to perform after scoring hit the internet.

They take their celebrations seriously, practising new moves on the training ground as they constantly look to better themselves. This is true footballing genius.
