Pablo Zabaleta wins appeal against red card at Arsenal
Sagna (left) and Zabaleta were sent off late in the 0-0 draw at the Emirates
Manchester City defender Pablo Zabaleta has avoided a three-match ban after his red card at Arsenal on Wednesday was overturned by the Football Association.
A Regulatory Commission hearing upheld City's claim for wrongful dismissal after he and Arsenal full-back Bacary Sagna were both sent straight off.
Sagna appeared to be the main aggressor after the duo clashed on 90 minutes.
The decision means the Argentine defender is now available to face Leicester City in the FA Cup on Sunday.
City's left-back will now also be able to play in forthcoming Premier League games against Wolves and Aston Villa as the Manchester club bids to maintain its title chase.
