I've been having a ponder over what I believe to be the best 10 games the Premier League has offered us since it began back in 1992.

People will undoubtedly think I have left some out—please do say if you think I have.

I'd love to know what your views are on what you think should be on this list.

    Anyway, enjoy...

10: Arsenal 2-3 Leeds United, May 4, 2003

1 of 11

A game Arsenal needed to win to keep alive their hopes of winning the title and a game Leeds needed to win to have any chance of staying in the league.

    Leeds won.

    The title went to United.

9: Portsmouth 7-4 Reading, September 29, 2007

Literally nobody saw this one coming.

Two pretty average sides playing out an absolute classic.

    Goals all over the place.

    Superb.

8: West Ham United 5-4 Bradford City, February 12, 2000

A broken leg for Shaka Hislop kick-started a goal-fest at Upton Park.

But the crowning moment was without doubt when Jamie Lawrence (no? me either) stepped out onto the pitch with bright red hair.

    Classic.

7: Leeds United 4-3 Liverpool, November 4, 2000

4 of 11

Liverpool went 2-0 up, then 3-2 up, before Mark Viduka decided it was best to just play them on his own, having already scored twice.

He went on to score two more in what was one of the greatest individual goalscoring performances the Premier League has ever seen.

6: Tottenham Hotspur 4-5 Arsenal, November 13, 2004

5 of 11

Now, some would suggest this should be higher, but this is the only game of the remaining six to choose from not to have an amazing comeback or twist in the game.

It was pretty much over by the 81st minute.

Still, taking nothing away from the fact it was a nine-goal thriller, it was a fantastic North London derby.

    Not the best though...

5: Arsenal 4-4 Tottenham Hotspur, October 29, 2008

6 of 11

Harry Redknapp had just taken over as Tottenham manager, with his team sat at the bottom of the table after a horrid start to their league campaign.

Arsenal though, were off to a great start in league as usual and probably expected a win here.

    How wrong they were...

4: Tottenham Hotspur 3-5 Manchester United, September 29, 2001

7 of 11

The epitome of the phrase "a game of two halves."

Halftime score 'Tottenham 3-0 Man United'

Full time score 'Tottenham 3-5 Man United'

Glenn Hoddle's genuine excuse? That they went in at halftime too far in front.

    Nice one, Glenn.

3: Manchester United 4-3 Manchester City, September 20, 2009

8 of 11

City had splashed their cash in the summer, even recruiting Carlos Tevez from United.

All United had really done was bring in Michael Owen, who many assumed to be washed up and no longer a real threat.

But, with the game at 3-3 on 96 minutes, up stepped Owen to poach home the winner.

2: Liverpool 4-4 Arsenal, April 21, 2009

9 of 11

A game Liverpool needed to win to stay in the title race and the second game on the list that includes a player scoring four against them.

This time the culprit was Andrey Arshavin, who, along with everyone else at Anfield, thought he'd won the game in the last minute.

But Yossi Benayoun was on hand to tie things up again at 4-4 in the dying seconds.

It wasn't enough to keep Liverpool's title hopes alive though, and United went on to win the league for the third consecutive time.

1: Liverpool 4-3 Newcastle United, April 30, 1996

10 of 11

Undoubtedly the greatest and most dramatic Premier League game of all time.

All I suggest is that you watch the video and watch the camera shake with the stadium as Collymore smashes home goal number four.

Forgotten Games Worthy Enough To Be Acknowledged
