Reports claim a laser pen was shone at Nani
United fans reported to have lit flares in the stadium

Uefa has opened disciplinary cases against Marseille and Manchester United because of their fans' behaviour at their Champions League match on Wednesday.

Uefa says it is investigating reports that Marseille fans shone a laser pen at Nani to distract the United winger at the Stade Vélodrome in the first leg of the round of 16 match.

Three years ago, Uefa fined the French champions, Lyon, €3,200 (then £4,240) for "incidents of an unsporting nature" when their fans aimed a laser beam at Cristiano Ronaldo, who then played for United.

Uefa is also studying reports that Manchester United fans broke competition rules by lighting flares in the stadium during the match, which ended 0-0. Uefa's disciplinary panel will hear the cases on 17 March.
