Real Madrid's Cristiano Ronaldo is arguably the most talented soccer player in the game today. His flashy footwork has turned him into a human highlight reel. There are only few, if any, that can match Ronaldo's elite speed, agility and quickness.
There's debate to if he's the best soccer player in the world, but he's definitely the most hated.
He is the biggest diver in the game and there's nothing sports fans hate more than cheating. On top of that, he turns from a world-class actor to a world-class whiner when he doesn't get a call.
Cristiano Ronaldo has taken a thousand dives, but here are his worst five.
5. Dive vs. Chelsea
Ronaldo dove before the defender even tried to kick the ball. Usually, with soccer dives, you see late reactions, not early ones, but Ronaldo was actually getting ready to dive from the start.
Frank Lampard couldn't even take him seriously. He just laughed at him.
4. Dive vs. Iran
Ronaldo's motto: If you can't get to the ball, just fall. He should've been thinking ahead like last time.
Here is the "Gilardino" dive mentioned in the video title.
3. Dive vs. Athletic Bilbao
Ronaldo was absolutely shocked he didn't get that call.
He only took two and a half strides before he dove; how could the referees even notice? At least he fooled his teammate.
2. Dive vs. Blackburn Rovers
I think Ronaldo just took a dive there because of embarrassment. He was closer to kicking his face than the ball.
I know, how could that not possibly be the worst dive? You'll see why.
1. Dive vs. AC Milan
Now that's what you call a work of art.
Most soccer players dive then complain about the call. Ronaldo is different, special, ahead of the game: He complained about the call then dove.
