Leo Messi (FC Barcelona Striker) was able to cast the first vote for the FIFPro 2011 Awards. Messi cast his vote at the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper (FC Barcelona training ground and academy) in the presence of the award representatives before the match against Atletico Madrid.

The FC Barcelona players who were able to so also deposited their vote for the person or team who will receive the award this year. It is expected that 45,000 people will be depositing their vote in this all-important award.

In other news from FC Barcelona, Cesc Fabregas has achieved a lot since he signed with the team. Cesc has scored six goals within eight appearances. Cesc has the opportunity to score more goals against Atletico Madrid and set a new record for Barca.

The following people have scored as well during their time with Barca.

Cesar Rodriguez scored nine goals within the first five league matches of the 1950-1951 season. Rodriguez ultimately scored 195 goals in La Liga matches and 235 in other official matches.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic was able to score 11 goals within the first 13 matches of his only season with FC Barcelona. Ibrahimovic was able to score five more goals after Barca returned from its Christmas break before going to AC Milan.

Cesc Fabregas has been able to advance in Arsenal and FC Barcelona. Fabregas has a great future ahead and can serve as an inspiration for a future generation of players.
