Welcome to another live commentary blog here on Bleacher Report with me, Karl Matchett, as we bring you the clash between Manchester United and Sunderland.

It is almost a clash of the old against the new in this game, with Sunderland boasting no fewer than five players in the squad who were once on the books of United—as well as, of course, manager Steve Bruce, who captained Alex Ferguson's Manchester United side to the league title for the very first time in 1993.

Fast forward to 2011 and Ferguson is this weekend celebrating his 25th anniversary in the hot-seat at Old Trafforda quite remarkable achievement indeed.

Last season, United ran out 2-0 winners in the corresponding fixture with Dimitar Berbatov on the scoresheet before an Anton Ferdinand own goal sealed the three points.

Both sides this season are facing injury issues and looking to make ground on the sides ahead of them in the league table—Sunderland haven't really clicked into gear yet at all, while United have one side above them only in the league, and they will have their sights firmly set on catching them back up.

Stay right here for all the best build up to the game, the in-match action and of course the post-game analysis.
