Real Madrid Transfer Talk: Neymar Transfer Makes Madrid Team to Beat in La Liga

0 of 4

Reports have surfaced that Neymar da Silva is heading to Real Madrid. If the reports are true, then Real Madrid would be an unstoppable force in the Spanish La Liga.

Barcelona has the likes of Lionel Messi, Andrés Iniesta, Xavi Hernández and David Villa as their fantastic four and at their disposal.

No disrespect to the other squad members, but the aforementioned players is one of the reasons Barca has enjoyed so much success on both the domestic and European front.

If however, Neymar were to join Los Merengues in the summer of 2012 as has been reported, then the world would be the oyster for the once indomitable Galácticos.

Defense

This season thus far, Real has been quite impressive at the back, conceding only five goals in 11 La Liga fixtures.

The reason for Real’s great start to the season in apropos to their defense is as much down to the superb goal keeping skills of club captain Iker Casillas as it is to the defenders.

Sergio Ramos has been a good defensive general for the Galácticos, along with the likes of Álvaro Arbeloa and Marcelo Vieira.

The heavyweight partnership, however, of Ricardo Carvalho and Pepe shoring up the defense of Los Blancos has been imperative in shutting out their opponents.

Come next season with some new defensive acquisitions, (at this point I doubt Real Madrid need to invest in defense) Real can only get defensively stronger.

Midfield

The midfield of Los Vikingos has been prevalent in their success this season.

Not only have they assisted in the clubs goals tally, they have also been instrumental to the Real’s creative flow.

The defensive duties have not been left up to the likes of Pepe and Co.,but have been shared amongst both defense and midfield.

The midfield of Galácticos is overflowing with talent—the long range specialist Xabi Alonso, the creativity of Sami Khedira and the Mesut Özil’s assists are all part of the new and improved Galácticos.

And with Kaka seeming to have found his old form of late, the midfield is as solid as it has ever been.

Strike Force

In this particular area Los Merengues have been virtually unstoppable.

The attacking force of Cristiano Ronaldo, Gonzalo Higuaín and Karim Benzema have scored 30 of the total 39 goals the Galácticos have netted in La Liga this season.

With a strike force so potent, it’s not inconceivable that by the end of the La Liga season the dynamic trio could easily amass a goal tally in the region of 120 goals or more.

Add Neymar to that equation, then Real will literally have a goal fest.

Neymar da Silva

Finally Neymar da Silva comes into the picture.

The 19-year-old forward is on the brink of greatness, with his natural gifts and exquisite talents, Real Madrid is the fitting place for the Brazilian to hone his skills.

To date, Neymar has scored 38 goals in 82 appearances for Santos and eight goals in 15 for the Brazilian national team.

If he can produce that form at Los Vikingos, Neymar could turn out to be one of the best players in the world to have ever laced up a pair of boots.

There have been comparisons with a young Pelé. And the aforementioned has said that Neymar could one day surpass the magical Barcelona star Lionel Messi.

With such accolades bestowed on such young shoulders, and the price tag of £53 million (£150 million in total, with wages of £1 million a month) it’s any ones guess how he’ll react.

One thing that is certain. His acquisition is bound to have the opposition shaking in their boots, Barca included.

More importantly, Neymars’ inclusion into a team brimming with confidence is sure to bring glory to the Bernabéu.

Watching Neymar, Ronaldo,  and co will be a pleasure to behold.

Neymar can help in conferring the encomium of world’s best team for the first time in a very long time on the Galácticos.
