Premier League Transfer Rumours: 10 Deals That Would Light Up January

0 of 11

The excitement and drama of the English Premier League shows no signs of abating.

Whether it's the stunning results, incredible goals or controversial decisions, every supporter of each club has something to talk about.

However, the thing that gets fans talking the most is the transfer window.

Who will Arsenal buy? What position at Manchester United desperately needs filling? Who would be the perfect foil for Luis Suarez at Liverpool?

With this in mind, let's have a look at some potential January transfers that could help the Premier League continue to sparkle.

Fernando Llorente to Manchester United

1 of 11

The goals have dried up at Old Trafford.

In Manchester United's last six games, the Red Devils have only managed to score a paltry seven goals.

    Enter Fernando Llorente.

The Spanish international striker was at the forefront of Athletico Bilbao's charge up La Liga last term, bagging 19 goals and propelling his side to the Europa League.

Llorente has been on the radar of several Premier League clubs for some time now, and it won't be long before he arrives in England.

Mario Götze to Arsenal

The diminutive playmaker is guaranteed to become a world-class player.

Borussia Dortmund's 19-year-old wonderkid has more than filled the void left by Real Madrid's Nuri Sahin and has caught the eye of several suitors along the way, most notably Arsenal.

It would take a massive offer to prise Götze away from the German club, but Arsene Wenger's men would reap the rewards if he arrived at the Emirates.

Neymar to Chelsea

This rumour has been on the go for nearly six months.

Neymar's undeniable talent has seen him win praise from all corners of the footballing world, with the most-notable worship coming from Brazilian legend Pele.

Will the temperamental teenager heed his words?

Erick Torres to Manchester United

Ever since Javier Hernandez left Chivas for Manchester United, another Mexican youngster stepped into his place.

"The new Chicharito", as the Mexican media have labelled him, is a very similar player to Hernandez, with quick feet, good positional awareness and an eye for goal.

However, Torres is still very raw and may need some more time before he tries to emulate the success of his fellow countryman.

Luuk De Jong to Liverpool

5 of 11

Twente's £10 million-rated striker could be the perfect fit for Liverpool.

With the ageing Kuyt and the misfiring Carroll on their hands, De Jong could fire the Reds up the table and into Champions League contention.

However, Dalglish might have a fight on his hands, with Newcastle also reportedly interested.

Eden Hazard to Arsenal

6 of 11

    Has he signed? Hasn't he?

Does he want to move? Does he want to go elsewhere?

With so many Hazard-related stories floating about, it's hard to distinguish fact from fiction.

However, the fact remains that Hazard's precocious talent would be welcome in any side in the world, and none more so than Arsenal.

Sami Khedira to Manchester City

7 of 11

This move, despite seeming unnecessary, isn't out of the question.

The German enforcer had a massive impact at the 2010 World Cup and subsequently signed for Real Madrid.

However, if the right offer came in, José Mourinho might be hard-pressed to turn it down.

Amauri to Tottenham

8 of 11

A move for the Brazilian-born Italian striker may baffle some Spurs fans.

Amauri's presence is enough to put off even the toughest of centre-backs, although he is not the most prolific forward in the world.

The 31-year-old has been told he can leave Juventus in January, and this may make a transfer for him slightly more attractive.

Christian Eriksen to Manchester City

9 of 11

If Roberto Mancini managed to pull off this signing, it would be one of the biggest of the month.

The young Danish midfielder has set the Eredivise alight with some sparkling performances, and the 19-year-old is getting better and better with each passing game.

However, it might take a sizeable transfer fee to convince Ajax to part with their Scandinavian sensation.

Wesley Sneijder to Manchester United

10 of 11

And so to the longest-running transfer saga of the past year.

First he was on his way, then he wasn't, then his agent said he might and then Inter said he was staying put.

Nobody really knows what's going to happen.

Nevertheless, a bid of £40m would probably be accepted by Inter and the world-class Dutchman would instantly reinvigorate United's midfield as they push for the title.
