England captain John Terry insists he does not feel 'undroppable' in Fabio Capello's plans.
Terry is set to return to the side for Tuesday's friendly with Sweden after being left out of Saturday's 1-0 win over Spain.
In his absence, Phil Jagielka and Joleon Lescott both excelled at the back in shutting out the world and European champions.
The Chelsea centre-back knows competition for places is fierce and he accepts he will be dropped if he loses form.
Drop anyone
"I don't feel undroppable - I've never thought that with England or Chelsea," he said.
"If my form's not good enough the manager (Fabio Capello) is big enough to drop anyone, as we've seen.
"Every game we all feel we are playing for our places.
"When you play for your country you can never take a game lightly.
"Everyone is fully focused on the game ahead... I'm here taking part in training and leading the team out."
Momentum
Terry admits Capello is keen for the side to build on their victory over Spain by overcoming Sweden to maintain their progress for next summer's Euro 2012 finals in Poland and Ukraine.
"The manager has stressed the need to make sure we get the right result against Sweden and keep the momentum going into the European Championships," added Terry.
"It's really encouraging that younger players are coming in and making a real impact on the squad.
"There are some real positives to take away from the (Spain) game, but from a squad point of view we want to keep improving and we have got the chance to do it against Sweden."
