It looks set to be another long weekend for Evertonians.

Consistently Everton's best performer, left-back Leighton Baines had a bit of an off game by his high standards against Stoke last week.

With Arsenal's injury woe at both full-back positions, if Everton stand any chance of getting some points at the Emirates they must exploit the Gooners on the wings.

Sounds like a perfect game for Baines to further stake his claim as one of the best full-backs in the Premier League.

When Mikel Arteta left Everton, I harboured no hard feelings towards the Spanish midfielder.

Pushing 30, with his history of injuries, £10 million seemed like a fair price.

Arsenal seem to have gotten themselves a bargain as Arteta has found his best form for the Gunners, and has added the experience their midfield needed.

According to Opta, Arteta has completed more passes in his opponents half than any other player in the Premier League and he's scored four times from just seven shots.

Playing against his old club may add a bit more inspiration for Arteta and coming off a goal against Wigan last weekend, expect Arteta to be at his best.

Everton's travels to the Emirates Stadium have been largely unsuccessful, as the Blues have only recorded two draws in their five games in the red half of North London—so predicting points is a bold choice.

With Arsenal's full-back injuries, Everton will look to play with pace down the flanks. Also, they will try to keep the ball out of the middle of the field where Mikel Arteta and Aaron Ramsey have been brilliant so far this season.

An Arsenal reserve team lost to Olympiakos in the Champions League on Wednesday, so Everton can't even hope for the European hangover to help them out.

Arsenal have really turned their season around after the 8-2 humiliation at Old Trafford and Arsenal haven't lost in six Premier League games against the Toffee's. So, if Everton get anything from this game, it will be a bonus.
