Premier League Winners and Losers: Robin Van Persie, Spurs and Seb Larsson

Premier League Gameweek 15 brought some dramatic results, stunning goals and plenty of winners and losers.

History was made as Arsenal celebrated their 125th anniversary with a win over Everton, while Manchester United bounced back from their midweek Champions League exit, and Liverpool actually managed to score a goal—don't worry, it was only one.

There's much more action where that came from, so let's get right to it.

Robin Van Persie is undoubtedly the most in-form player in the Premier League at the moment, scoring 33 goals this calendar year—just one away from Thierry Henry's record. 

A wonder goal was going to come sooner or later from the Dutchman, so what better time to score it than on Arsenal's 125th anniversary. It was a fantastic one-touch volley into the far corner that reminded us all of his magnificent strike against Charlton back in the 2004-05 season. 

In my opinion, Van Persie has emerged as one of the five best players in the world, and the best centre forward in the world.

Arsenal celebrated their 125th anniversary with a fitting "one nil to the Arsenal" win to overcome Everton at the Emirates.

Not only was it a historic win for the Gunners, but it was also a much-needed three points before Arsenal's schedule gets tricky in the jam-packed holiday season.

They've got a real test away to Manchester City next weekend, but when Arsenal and Van Persie are on their game, they can beat just about any side.

After expectations of Suarez competing for the Golden Boot this season, the Liverpool forward has disappointed, scoring just five goals so far this season. 

Nonetheless, he's undoubtedly Liverpool's most dangerous player, and he's come inches from scoring on a number of occasions. After all of the Reds' spending in the summer, they still seem to rely on Suarez, meaning the Uruguayan must start finding the net more often.

Suarez added to his goal tally this weekend. As a centre forward, he's superb at creating chances, but he's got to finish them as well.

Was I the only one who noticed that Wayne Rooney was on a considerably long goal drought, going back to September?

Well, that doesn't matter now, as the Manchester United forward scored a brace this weekend against Wolves to help defeat them 4-1. It was a crucial win for the Red Devils, as it was vital for them to bounce back from their shocking Champions League exit in midweek before the holiday fixture congestion comes along.

As much as Sir Alex likes to "win ugly," a comfortable win is necessary every once and a while.

There's nothing like a stoppage time free kick to win the match for your manager on his first day on the job...

Sebastian Larsson has been nothing short of brilliant this season, scoring more than a few goals in style and providing Sunderland with a creative midfield presence. 

Larsson is the one legacy Steve Bruce gets to leave behind at the Stadium of Light.

Chelsea's poor run of form seems to have ended, as the Blues dealt league leaders Manchester City their first loss of the season with a 2-1 win at Stamford Bridge. 

It was a win that could change a lot for Chelsea, as Andre Villas-Boas' job all of a sudden looks a lot safer, and Frank Lampard may have cemented a spot in the first team...for now.

If Chelsea can find some consistency and start getting their forwards to score goals on a regular basis, they could mount a strong title challenge for the rest of the season. 

Everyone realized just how thin Newcastle's squad is with their 4-2 loss to Norwich over the weekend. 

Without Fabricio Coloccini and Steven Taylor, the Magpies' defense was in shambles, conceding three goals from set-pieces in just one match. Although Demba Ba has continued to be fantastic, Newcastle's dream start to the season seems to be winding up. 

They've certainly gained enough points to put relegation out of the question, so Alan Pardew's men will now be looking to achieve a strong, mid-table finish and possibly challenge for Europe if they get some good luck.

Spurs' incredible winning streak came to an end on Saturday with a 2-1 loss to Stoke at the Britannia.

Although Stoke City is a tough place to win at for any team, Spurs were favourites going into the match and are by no means capable of defeating the Potters.

This surely isn't the result Harry Redknapp would've preferred heading into the looming, congested winter schedule.

Manchester City's undefeated run came to an end on Monday with a 2-1 loss to Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.

Although "Operation: Blue Moon Rising" has certainly been a success, Roberto Mancini now has to make sure this bad result doesn't turn into a string of bad results. The Citizens have a tough match at home to Arsenal next weekend, and the outcome of that fixture could very well determine the outcome of the rest of Manchester City's winter matches.

All of a sudden, Mancini's holiday season could be anything but relaxing.
