World Football's 10 Most Ridiculous Goals of All Time

0 of 10

We have all seen these clips on SportsCenter at least once and the world has become very familiar with these goals thanks to YouTube.

The goals I am talking about are the 10 most ridiculous goals of all time.

From the legends like Messi and Maradona to the unknown player who gets his one shot in the spotlight thanks to his amazing goal, all 10 of these amazing goals have captivated the fanbase of world football.

Lionel Messi vs. Getafe

1 of 10

Lionel Messi was just 19 years of age when he was just breaking onto the scene at the Camp Nou with Barcelona.

This stunning run from midfield against Getafe sees the Argentine display the skills that amaze everyone in the stadium.

It also reminds fans of the next video on this list by another famous Argentine.

Diego Maradona vs. England

2 of 10

This 1986 FIFA World Cup match is known for another goal that people know as the "Hand of God" goal but this goal had little controversy around it.

Deemed by most as "The Goal of the Century," Maradona tears through the England defense on his way to goal, just like Messi did over 20 years after Maradona's epic goal.

David Beckham vs. Wimbledon

3 of 10

David Beckham is known for his spectacular free kicks but this goal from the halfway line looks a bit more difficult, and further away, than any of his goals from free kicks.

This goal came in the first game of the season in the 1996-97 Premier League campaign.

After Eric Cantona and Denis Irwin scored earlier in the game, Beckham shined in the 90th minute with this goal.

Cristiano Ronaldo vs. North Korea

4 of 10

Love him or hate him, you must admit that Cristiano Ronaldo is one heck of a footballer.

Another example of this was when Portugal beat up on North Korea in the 2010 FIFA World Cup when Ronaldo used his concentration skills to juggle the ball up then down his body and scored very easily with no one in sight.

Sebastian Langkamp vs. Bayer Leverkeusen

5 of 10

Not many people remember who Sebastian Langkamp is, but they do remember his goal from April 2009 from when he was with Karlsruher in the German Bundesliga.

Langkamp's goal could not, however, save the club from relegation, as a few weeks later Karlsruher dropped down to the second Bundesliga and have not returned to the top flight since.

Roberto Carlos vs. France

6 of 10

Brazilian defender Roberto Carlos fooled everyone watching his free kick, especially France goalkeeper Fabian Barthez, in 1997 with this stunner.

The goal occurred in the Tournoi de France, a warmup tournament for the 1998 FIFA World Cup in France.

Roberto Carlos' goal came in the 21st minute and was the first goal scored in the tournament, which was eventually won by England.

George Weah vs. Verona

7 of 10

George Weah scored this wonder goal against Verona while playing with AC Milan in Serie A.

The year that this goal was scored, 1995, was the best for Weah as he won the FIFA World Player of the Year, African Player of the Year and European Player of the Year.

Pele vs. Sweden

8 of 10

It would not be a ridiculous goals list without Pele.

In the 1958 FIFA World Cup, Pele did not start until the last group game but then scored in each of the knockout-round matches.

This one came in the final of the tournament against hosts Sweden, a match that the Brazilians won 5-2.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic vs. NAC Breda

9 of 10

Before Zlatan Ibrahimovic broke his way into Serie A and La Liga, he was scoring goals in the Eredivisie with Ajax.

The Swede gained a ton of attention thanks to this goal that he scored against NAC Breda in August 2004, nine days before his transfer to Juventus.

Zinedine Zidane vs. Bayer Leverkeusen

10 of 10

Zinedine Zidane has plenty of memorable moments in football history and this goal is just one of those moments.

Against Bayer Leverkeusen in the 2002 UEFA Champions League final, Zidane unloaded a volley off of his weaker foot into the net to give Real Madrid the European title at Hampden Park in Glasgow.
