Throughout the last several years, Carlos Tevez was one of the top strikers in English football. He was a major part of Manchester City's rebuilding process from a mid-table club to one of the top clubs in England and has helped to open the door for future stars to join the club.

Statistically, Tevez was incredible for City. In his two full seasons with the club, Tevez scored 43 goals, more than any other player in England during this time. Tevez also scored or assisted 45 percent of Man City’s goals in 2010-2011, a higher proportion than any other player in the Premier League.

Now, Tevez's great contributions for Man City ended in September when Tevez refused to come into the match as a substitute and has not played since then.

The exile has caused Tevez to live in exile in Buenos Aires, where he has waited to join a new club.

Unfortunately for Tevez, he has not been able to join that new club. Already AC Milan, Paris Saint-Germain and now Inter Milan have all decided to no longer pursue Tevez.

No matter what your personal beliefs are with these clubs, each of these three clubs all made the right decision to not go after Tevez.

Each club had their own reason why they decided to stop their pursuit of the striker.

For AC Milan, they decided to stop their pursuit of Tevez in early January because Alexandre Pato decided that he didn't want to move to Paris and play under former Milan manager Carlo Ancelotti.

This was a very intelligent move for Milan; they got to keep a young striker with a tremendous amount of potential instead of bringing in Tevez, who can show multiple personalities and will probably want to leave the club in a short amount of time.

Of course, Milan are supposedly still interested in Tevez, but the likelihood of the move materializing is still slim.

Then there is Paris Saint-Germain. PSG is now one of the world's richest clubs and they are quickly becoming the next Manchester City. For PSG, getting a renowned name such as Tevez would be a fantastic move for the club.

Yet the breakdown in these talks is also not a terrible development. If Tevez were to join the French giants, he would have to replace Kévin Gameiro on top in their 4-2-3-1 system.

Gameiro is currently tied for second in Ligue 1 with nine goals, and is also a striker that is poised for a greater future than Tevez considering he is 24 years old and is known for scoring plenty of goals.

And finally there is Inter Milan. Inter conceded early in the month that they had no chance of signing Tevez before AC Milan announced that they were not going to take Tevez.

Inter then decided with Tevez that they were going to pursue Tevez before again dropping out of the race.

After an awful start to their season, Inter have finally started to recover and play well. This development can only mean good things for Inter this season.

It also helps Inter to not bring in another aging player to their side. Tevez will turn 28 next month and he won't be a top goalscorer for that much longer.

So what does this exactly say about Carlos Tevez?

It says that instead of moving in Europe, the Argentine striker should instead move back to South America, where he will be able to be close to his family.

There have already been links for Tevez to move to Corinthians or even to make a move to Boca Juniors.

During the beginning of his career, Tevez used to play for both of these clubs and became a star in South America. Moving there would be a strong career move for Tevez and would also make sense for Manchester City.

Tevez will likely never have to face City again during his career and will be removed from the European spotlight, which would in hence be a great move for everyone.
