Liverpool Transfer Rumours: Reds May Pounce on Juventus Winger Milos Krasic

Through 21 games of the 2011/12 season, Liverpool have scored just 24 goals. That number ranks them at 11th among their rivals—in other words, nowhere near good enough.
A major reason for the inability to score has been the lack of talent on the wings. Stewart Downing has not lived up to his £18 million price tag, Dirk Kuyt has struggled and Craig Bellamy has played sparingly because Dalglish hopes to avoid another Bellamy injury. To put it bluntly, Liverpool need to add talent on their flanks in the January transfer window if they want to finally reestablish themselves as a top-four team.
According to The Daily Mirror, Liverpool have been offered Juventus winger Milos Krasic in a suggested £12 million deal.
Krasic is certainly the kind of player that would be beneficial to the Liverpool attack. While the lack of a proven goal-scorer has led to countless squandered opportunities, there has been a clear lack of quality in the balls delivered to the likes of Andy Carroll and Luis Suarez in the Liverpool attack.
The Serbian Krasic has made his name as a delivery specialist, and could be the key to unlocking Carroll and Suarez's sky-high potential.
Having joined Juventus from CSKA Moscow in the summer of 2010, Krasic had a big year a season ago, further establishing himself as one of European football's premier wingers. The powerful right-sided midfielder, who turned 27 in late November, appeared in 33 Serie A games for the Turin club, scoring six goals and assisting on six more.
Krasic is just the player Liverpool need to finally kickstart the team's season. Top four is not yet out of reach, and a £12 million smartly invested in Milos Krasic would certainly help to make that dream become a reality.
