United midfielder eager to erase memory of FA Cup exit
Park Ji-sung has told Manchester United they must swiftly move on from their FA Cup fourth round defeat at the hands of Liverpool.
With United already out of the UEFA Champions League and Carling Cup, they saw their hopes of silverware in the world's oldest club competition go up in smoke thanks to the 2-1 defeat at Anfield.
Sir Alex Ferguson's side return to Premier League action on Tuesday night with a home date against Stoke, while leaders Manchester City are away at Everton.
With City currently three points clear of the 19-times champions of England, Park knows the Red Devils cannot afford to dwell on their Merseyside misery, with Dirk Kuyt's last-gasp strike settling the contest.
"I am glad there is another match on Tuesday," said the South Korean. "We can forget about this result quickly and look to the future.
Mess up
"Then we have the Premier League and Europa League. We shouldn't mess up these two titles.
"We always try to win. That is the Manchester United way. But we lost concentration and gave them (Liverpool) a goal."
It was not a great day for Patrice Evra, who was jeered every time he touched the ball on his return to Anfield in the wake of being racially abused by Luis Suarez, an offence for which the Reds striker was hit with an eight-game suspension.
But Park felt the behaviour of the home fans was simply typical of a meeting between the two fierce North West rivals.
"The atmosphere wasn't too bad," said Park. "It was the same as normal. Anfield is quite a difficult place to come and play. I didn't think it was particularly different."
