The best players in the EPL decorate a pair of brilliant lists of nominees for the Player of the Year and Young Player of the Year awards.

BBC Sport reports that the PFA has announced the field of stars that will be up for the honors at Sunday's ceremony.

It's time to credit the men who have made this season a special one, and there is no shortage of worthy picks at the top.

In my estimation, an argument could be made for every player on each list.

Player of the Year Nominees:

Sergio Aguero (Man City), Joe Hart (Man City), Scott Parker (Tottenham), Robin van Persie (Arsenal), Wayne Rooney (Man Utd), David Silva (Man City).

Young Player of the Year Nominees:

Sergio Aguero (Man City), Gareth Bale (Tottenham), Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain (Arsenal), Daniel Sturridge (Chelsea), Kyle Walker (Tottenham), Danny Welbeck (Man Utd).

It's anybody's guess who will get top honors in either selection.

Robin van Persie has been a consistent provider during a tumultuous year at Arsenal. Much of the Gunners' success can be attributed to his brilliance.

Then again, you can't discount Sergio Aguero, who could take both honors with 28 goals in his first year in the EPL since leaving Atletico Madrid.

Among the youth, Gareth Bale has proved he is more than a one-hit wonder and quickly become one of the most revered players in the EPL.

Regardless of who holds sway on Sunday, Manchester City is already the big winner with three nominations, including the possible favorite in Sergio Aguero.
