Lille winger Eden Hazard has revealed to Canal+ that he will be wearing blue next season, scuppering rumors that he might have been headed to Manchester United.

"It's the blue that I'll be wearing next season," Hazard said in response to a question as to whether he preferred red or blue. While he admitted to liking both colors, Hazard made sure to finish with, "Definitely the blue."

Though he has also been linked with a move to Chelsea, another "blue" team, recent events would seemingly push the 21-year-old Belgian toward a move to United's cross-town rival, Manchester City.

Hazard has already said that he will be playing in the Premier League next season. There were reports that after attending the Manchester derby last Monday, Hazard was shown around Cheshire, a county bordering Manchester, by Manchester City club officials. Rumor had it that Hazard was house-hunting.

Speaking to France Football last month, City manager Roberto Mancini has said that his club would be a "perfect destination" for Hazard.

"I like Hazard a lot," Mancini said. "He's a good player, he's young and he would do great things in our team. Given his technical qualities City would be the perfect destination for him.

"I know him and have been following him for a long time. He's a player a lot of teams want."

Hazard has been rated at £24 million, a mere pittance given some of the signings City have secured in recent seasons. Sergio Aguero was signed for £40 million from Atletico Madrid last summer.
