This Motorola Phone Is Going After The iPhone 7 By Sacrificing The 3.5MM Jack For Thinness

Since Apple publicize its argument that removing the headphone socket could allow better arrangement of its iPhone internal components, ultimately leading to thinner iPhones, other OEM’s have jumped into the infamous idea that will eventually bring an end to the existence of the famous 3.5mm headphone jack.

They are killing everything we love for a lame excuse! Quote me anywhere :/

Speed-Racer2824d ago

As much as that may be the case, if we complained about that, we'd still be using serial cables to our printers or VGA cables to our monitors. Technology is always evolving.

There is a difference between evolving and changing for the sake of change. There is no technological benefit to the changed headphone jack in the new iPhones. They are doing it just to force people to buy their own overpriced junk headphones. If the new ports somehow improved sound quality then it would be understandable, but they don't.

For a thinner phone? Yeah, right. Just be honest and admit you're greedy bastards and you're doing it to make your own proprietary headphones which cost a small fortune to work with the phone, eh?

Who gives a hoot about thiny phones?

FamilyGuy2823d ago

Proprietary? Doesn't the iphone support blutooth?
Not like everything about apple isn't a cash grab anyway.

Phones are already too thin. Thicken them up and add a 1/4" jack along with a built-in headphone amp.

http://sklep.rms.pl/img/pro... That is how phones should look.

Yes, because I want phones so thin they bend when only slight pressure is placed on them.
