As someone who worked there I can tell you that this is a placeholder Price, They did the same with GTA 5, Charging £70 for early copies. So No £380 is no where near the retail price

Take this with a huge grain of salt, CEX are a largely pre owned electronic/game shop here in the UK, great for selling stuff to them but most of the stuff they sell themselves is always massively overpriced.

This could also be a placeholder or based on the fact that it's rare with the only one we have seen is from the leak, so if they get a hold of one they will make a tidy profit for whomever buys it.

Perhaps they listed the retail price of the Neo in the wrong placeholder? $500 USD would make sense on that end but clearly that slim won't be anywhere close to that.

I think the £199 RRP might be real. CEX are a second-hand store here in the UK. When the XB1 S released they wanted over £500 for a console that costs £350. Look at the Pokemon Go Plus wristband. They want £125 for something that cost £35 from the Nintendo shop.

A slim budget version of a three year old console going on sale for more than the OG PS4 on release date, £350? No. The PS4 Slim will not be £380. Current brand new OG PS4s in the UK are going for around the £280 mark. The PS4 Slim will not cost anymore than £280. I can promise you that.

Maybe its the 2tb model, but I still wouldn't pay that price for a current gen console, technically soon to be last gen console, knowing there's a better version on the way at a slightly higher price point.

This is not official until Sony has actually announced the price. It seems like a placeholder to me as all of the other rumours have pointed to the price being somewhere in the $249-$299 range. there's no way the price would be back up to the original retail price of the console. at worst, it'll be the same price as the current retail price of a PS4, and then the'll drop the price of the OG PS4.

We will take a "Neo" leak anytime now.

So I seriously doubt this is a real price (unless it's a bundle) but, hypothetically, if it was, how would you feel? Would you still buy it if you were planning to?

Personally, it'd be the last thing I'd need to convince me that Sony is screwing up royally. No reason for a slimmer console that still doesn't do 4K in any capacity (allegedly) to be more expensive than an Xbox One S.

But I think Sony will knock it out of the park with Neo. If it's natively backwards compatible and 4K ready, I'm very interested in seeing what that may do to the price.

The slim leaks, I'm sure, were intentional in some capacity. They did a great job of keeping a lid on E3, so I seriously doubt this was a true effort to keep things hush.

Guys this is not the retail price for the slim, CeX ONLY deal in the second-hand market , everything they have that is before release date is hiked up extremely, take a look at the gtx 1060 or even the on the site , the price is ridiculous

With the Neo right around the corner they should be looking to drop the price of this slim.

£249.99 is a big drop in price and could mean a £399.99 for a Neo.

Big difference in performance and price could make either a very attractive prospect.
