Holy crap this is what's wrong with reviews, my god please if you are interested instead of listening to this idiot's opinion I urge you to check it out at a GameStop or Bestbuy.

Again I hate the Wii motion controls, I hate the Kinect, hell I even hate the move controller and some VR games use it. But listen to me when I say this is not broken tech. Don't take my word or this mentally challenged editor's opinion go out and please see it for yourself.

It is incredible and not a broken promise in the least... I mean wtf!? Kinda crazy how some reviews glow, rant and rave praises about PSVR and then you get a hack like this giving an opinion on it. Don't listen to any of us please try it for yourself.

This is so full of shit. If you didn't feel like this is the first step of something huge after playing batman then you just don't appreciate the evolution of games that we are all lucky enough to be here to witness. Psvr is far from perfect but it has blown me away more then any form of intertainment in a very long time.

PS4VR should be $199 at most.

As soon as I read "dildo", I knew that it wasn't worth reading from a chump little kid. I can understand that the experience won't be at the same level as vive or oculus. But PSVR is in no way broken. And wasn't created to be expensive while using existing technology that works.

There's tracking when you turn around sometimes which is why Sony has games made in VR that mostly have you facing forward. Software from developers have to take how move tracks into account. But, when you set it up right, it's just an awesome experience.

Not everyone is going to like it which is okay. But the tone of how the article was made tells me it's not worth reading after the first couple of sentences.

Let's instead critique Will Shanklin's shi77y review style. He's soooooo convincing. So focused on negatives. He went into the experience that way, what else does he expect?

The rest of us will be enjoying our PSVR "cake" and it is hardly disappointing.

This article ignores reality and presents a view that is completely untrue. PSVR delivers almost everything it has promised and, in my opinion, more - tons of fun. I have been playing on it for nearly a fortnight now and Battlefield 1 remains untouched. After a dose of VR, I am finding it hard to go back to normal gaming.

Not sure what's happened to him, but I've had only a few tracking issues and drifting in the beginning, turned out I had several shiny objects behind me! I used a flash light, stood in front of the TV and looked in the direction of the couch. I didn't think I had anything reflective there, but a boardgame was there in shrink, another box with massive amounts of transparent tape and a few really shiny tackle boxes. I removed them and no more issues!

I do believe that many people complaining about the tracking have a set up that is not optimal and like me at first believe there's nothing wrong with the set up until you check it thoroughly. Also noticed when I had these issues that I didn't have it with all games, also felt like it could be made better by some updates.

I agree tho that the tech used for tracking isn't the best out there and am sure Sony is working on a better, and probably a tad more expensive, solution. I just see this as their entry level solution to keep the initial costs for consumers low since many people already had the PS Camera and Moves (like I did).

But this person calling it broken and saying it's breaking promises is downright crazy! So many people are having tons of fun with it and if it were broken like this guy claims then that would not be the case!

You're surprised it's turning out to be motion control all over again? I hope it's not, but what motion control could never get passed was it's own gimmick. Games (often glorified tech demos) were made around the gimmick rather than what they should have done. Which is make a game that from the conception revolves around an original idea that happens to use motion control or VR in a clever way. What we usually get though is, how can we forcefully create a game out of thin air that shows off what VR can do. Then it becomes a shallow gimmick.

LOL!!! Fail article! Loving the VR and am having trouble playing anything else other than it. It's pretty much ruined normal gaming for me I think. That's about my only complaint. Good the one bad review finally. Sorry buddy. It's too late. So many YouTube videos up already of people reacting to playing it. Their reactions are nothing like a regular videogame could give you. They are astonished at the play and immersion be can give them. PSVR is already winning by word of mouth.

This review is terrible. All he talked about was jittery hands wtf. There's a lot more wrong with psvr than just jumpy motion controls. Which by the way isn't in all games and sometimes not there at all or even noticeable. Seems to be the amount of darkness and position that causes it. So what about the far more annoying screen drift to the left or the foggy glasses or the blurry graphics nothing on that? Well anyway despite the flaws psvr is an awesome gadget and a great introduction to vr potential down the road. This is the birth of a new future for gaming.

Not all games or peripherals will please everyone. If you know you dont like VR or certain genre of games, you shouldnt be reviewing it at all. By reviewing something that you know youre not interested in or like, you will come off bias just like this author.

This is the first review I've read that complains of this 'issue'. No other review has even mentioned such a problem? Even Jim Sterling playing Until Dawn never once said there was an issue. Tbh I've watched a lot of videos of people playing psvr and nada. I have yet to get the move controllers so only used the DS4 so far so I'll have to wait to see for myself. The head tracking is fantastic, strange it would be so shonky for the move controllers.

the only complaint that i have is that i wish the resolution was a bit higher. i had already heard it wasn't the best before i got it, so i wasn't expecting it to be a 1:1 with my tv, but it's definitely noticeable. it's still a really great experience though. i played the demo for the deep sea thing and i wanna get ps worlds just for the shark encounter now. i'm really excited for diving and exploration games in the future~

I'm sure the Ps4 VR is pretty darn good...I'm pretty sure the Scorpio VR will be that much better when it comes out...and that a few years later when PS5 VR comes out it will be even beter'er.

I think the author was being honest , but the author could have used a better choice of words . From GAMESPOT GIANT BOMB, JIM STERLING all said SONY really needs to improve the camera and move controllers tracking . All 3 said SONY VR is a amazing experience but all 3 said they are not sure if they should recommend everybody run out a buy a SONY VR.

I really do want for myself , i just do not have the money right now.

No idea what this reviewer is talking about. Seems to me he's an upset kid complaining about something that isn't perfect. Is it perfect? No, it isn't. Until you've experienced this for yourself, I wouldn't go by reviews like this. It's amazing and I hope all gamer get to try it out. Something like this shouldn't be missed even if it's in the early stages. I have the PSVR and I absolutely love it. Beast gaming experience I've ever had. No issues with motion tracking like he mentions, the games are so immersive already, I can't wait to see what developers offer next year. The reviewer acts like he's never gamed before and this gets approved here?

it may not be better than its competitors but the fact that it can run games like rush of blood, bound (my personal favorite and resident evil 7 in its entirety through psvr on a standard ps4 is awesome and extraordinary...don't regret buying it...im happy and will be happier when re7 arrives (damn i hope it turns out being good)

I don't regret getting PSVR, but the tracking is a MAJOR issue. Its so bad I can't play for more than about 30 minutes. Rush of Blood, for instance, will start off fine but 20 minutes later its 90 degrees to my side and my arms will be at a 45 degree angle on the screen when they are supposed to be straight out and the guns will be bent
backwards.

In light of recent announcements regarding VR....i think its safe to say that anyone looking at this objectively would not rush to buy a PSVR. ....unless you only own a PS. Already there are better options and cheaper options...and they aren't tied to one platform. Even some of the cheaper options will be completely self contained..so if quality is even remotely similar they are clearly better devices

The drift and judder issues NEED to be adressed, its getting ridiculous. Lets hope the next iteration has a better screen and tracking solution.

Well gents, we had to get a click bait article to bash the device at some point; can't let all the reviews be good now. Damn PSVR... It didn't come with the ability to walk my dog, manage all my home appliances, and fly me to Mars, with that massive $400 price tag... I must go cry now...
