Nope, that word is nowhere in the changelog. Old terminology/joke is old.

I am hoping Sony allows for external hdds for gaming instead of just storage one of these days as I am running out of space on my Pro.

Xtreemgamer, move out of what, I own my own home, and 42 years old, my social life is fine. You gamers are hilarious with your assumptions. Why would anyone even make such a comment about people you don't know?

I mainly buy digital, and I just feel Sony needs to give gamers more options. If I did not buy all my multiplat games on the X1, I would be completely out of space on the Pro.

I have 1TB SSHD drive on my Pro, and maybe own 10 exclusives, and I only have like 300GBs of space left, so not sure how you are getting 40 games with updates and DLC in to a 2TB.

ziggurcat2688d ago

external HDD support is the one thing I really wish they would implement. I have a 4TB external hooked up to my Xbox One S, and it's great!

XtreemGamer2688d ago

Nah.. I have a 2TB hdd in my PS4 Pro. A game is around ~45gb average. Thats about 40 AAA games installed. If anyone NEEDS more than 40 games at the SAME TIME than there is a big problem in his/her social life and time to move out...

ziggurcat2688d ago

@xtreem

I have a 2TB HDD in my Pro as well. I also usually don't keep games once I'm completely done with them, so space is almost never an issue, but it would be nice to have that option. It'd also make transferring your games/saved data/etc... from one console to another (from your vanilla PS4 to your new Pro or Slim, for example) as simple as unplugging the external HDD, and plugging it into your new console.

BizarroUltraman2688d ago (Edited 2688d ago )

@XtreemGamer,

What does wanting more hdd space have to do with having a social life?

If you happen to buy your games digitally then youre gonna need space. I have over 140 digital titles on my Xbox One thanks to 5tb external hdd I have on it. I buy any games on sale, the free games with gold and never have to worry about space.

I wish they had the feature but oh well the 1tb on my Pro will do for now. Especially when I can just delete any games I dont want and ddl later on do to PS4 installing games faster.

Of course disagree, thats all you guys are good for. Hating and disagreeing. Lol...

hiawa232688d ago (Edited 2688d ago )

I have 7TB of storage on my X1S, and 2.5 hdd internals for the PS4 have nowhere near the capacity. I am baffled why Sony has not released an update to allow this. I agree with you 100%.

@hiawa23

Well if you have money to burn why don't you get a 15TB SSD and you won't have to worry about external drives until next year. http://www.theverge.com/cir...

Actually, this drive would be really nice in the PS4pro where it would take advantage of the SATA3 bus (600MB/sec throughput).

Jon_Targaryen2687d ago

Dont know why people disagree for a feature so sought after. Looks like we 3rd worl countries' opinions dont mean a damn thing If 1st world countries dont want it because they got 1gbps fibre, am i right?

What, I thought this was dead after Shawn Layden left Sony. I would definitely pick this up if it's true. I have such great memories of playing the MediEvil games on PS1 and I played the PS4 remake. Such a great and underrated series.

A rumored game at a rumored show.. we’ve seen it all

TiredGamer2h ago

Agreed. The first remake was stylistically beautiful and a very noticeable improvement over the original in every regard. And it was reasonably priced and sustainably developed (i.e. not some mega big budget game that was do or die for the developer).

Zeke684h ago

Thanks for the spoilers... :(

RonnySins4h ago

Another day, another remake. Ugh!

SonyStyled3h ago

If you played the original print I can see your annoyance. I didn’t and probably a lot others the past 20 years.

Was it any good? Would you suggest playing the original print of 2, or suggest the remake? Just wondering because I didn’t play the originals as I had an n64 at the time

TiredGamer2h ago(Edited 2h ago)

I played the first remake and absolutely loved it. The quality of life and control improvements were very noticeable. I tried playing the PS1 original and gave up halfway through at the janky controls.

Expect the same for part 2. The PS1 version is janky as heck, but I would gobble up an improved remake day one.

The beauty of this kind of stuff is that I find myself enjoying more retro gaming today, so a relatively low budget classic remake (call it a single-A release) is exactly what is missing from first party releases in the modern age. I don’t want every game to be an unsustainable AAAA endeavor that is just overwhelming in every regard. Truly miss when game releases could be modest-sized surprises and still be commercially successful/viable.

Bring on more quality classic remakes!

Knightofelemia4h ago

Such a good series I also wish Sony would dust off Wild Arms and Legend of Dargoon even the Legend series needs to see the light again.

Omegasyde3h ago

My bets on new Socom and/or Wolverine (since Deadpool 3 is dropping in the summer).

I think one after this state of play will be PS5 pro preorder
