I made the switch too. All im playing is Destiny, ww2, wolfenstein and assasing on the X and mario on the switch. My pro will eat dust for some time. My ps plus expires next month and I already cancel my auto renew.

Why not have both? PS4 Pro for the 50 or so exclusives and Xbox One X for the 1000's of other games that play best on Xbox One X. That's how I'm building my library.

There really is no real point whatsoever for a PS4 owner to buy a X1X that is 500 USD not including tax to play the same Multiplats you can play on the PS4 beit a bit shinner. If it was a generational jump from the Pro to the X1X then it might make sense but even then the X1X still is saddled with its biggest problem. No must have games you can only play on the X1X

I was wondering when one of these would pop up. We haven't had on in a while.

IMO HDR is the true gamer changer when it comes to night and day visual upgrades and Sony had the sense to update ALL versions of PS4 for HDR. I had a pre HDR 4K tv until this week and going back to play games like Ratchet and Clank and Second Son with HDR on shows a far more noticeable visual upgrade than going 1080p to 4k.

I know HDR enabled games will now take priority when I make future game purchases

Bought my PS4 at launch based on Sony's past game lineup in previous generations. Very happy with the exclusives we got so far and looking forward to the 2018 titles.

Will get a Nintendo Switch eventually (Pokemon switch!!) and I already have a good gaming PC. Whenever Xbox One has enough game for me to justify owning a new system, I'll buy it.

I'm pretty sure most core gamers aren't going to up and renounce exclusives, and "making the switch" is awfully shortsighted. Buying an X to augment a Pro without getting rid of it will probably be more common, or making the switch from a XB1 or XB1S.

I didn't upgrade to the Pro and I'm not upgrading to the X. I play multiplatform games on the PC where I can run everything at 60fps. Hell, not a single game listed in the excerpt of this article even interests me. It almost reads like a parody.

I own the X, I've played WW2, Forza 7, Wolfenstein 2, Origins and NBA 2K18. All of these games look better than anything I've seen on PS4 Pro. I own both and will never "switch" to just one. I gotta say I will most likely be buying my 3rd party games on the X.

I own both and both have their strengths and weaknesses. X is more powerful and has a more defined leap, visually, than the Pro. Not to mention, the UHD drive, which alone is worth more than the $100 boost to price. The downside being that Microsofts first party game library is weak in comparison.

Sony has the game library and the çheaper machine, but doesnt have the power or the UHD drive. Do games look good on the Pro? yes. Especially first party titles. Though, that is where the comparisons start to wear thin... due to the extra memory in Microsofts machine, which affords it the luxury of PCs higher resolution(4K) textures, which combined with the higher AF(texture filtering) and screen resolution, makes the X look that much better than the Pro on the same games.

I don't understand this calling it a game changer business. I mean, it literally does not change how games play. It's not offering new ways to play. Not dissing the machine, it's very a nice console at the end of the day that packs a really good punch, but I switch between my Pro and my PC that is significantly stronger than the XBO X and even that isn't a game changer. They just offer a nicer visual over weaker hardware, not bring anything actually new to the table.

There will always be a decent % that jump brands once a new console hits that is better. The ones less likely to make that jump are the ones who have built a catalogue of games up and invested heavily in there PlayStation and there's a big % who do that.

No, it isn't. Having seen and played both in action, on 4k TVs, I didn't notice a difference. I suppose if the games were side by side, and paused, I good spot differences, but when will that ever come up? For an extra $100 and a year later, I was expecting more. Neither of them really compare to a capable PC.

I am dropping my ps4 launch model for a X box one s only because on black Friday I can pick one up for less than half price and all the older X box one games are now cheap. Halo, Ryse, GOW etc. I think all the newer consoles are good and the x one x might be overkill.

I'm currently enjoying AC origins on my XboX and replaying Witcher 3 on my PS4 pro. No need to choose one over the other.

I have a PS4 Pro and love it. I have a One S, but just couldn’t justify the One X. Instead I built a PC with a 1080ti. It plays most all of Microsoft’s games better than it’s own console does, plus everything else. D2 sure feels nice at 4K/60 with HDR on at Ultra. I’ll likely sell the One S, content with the PS4+PC combo, it’s essentially the same as having an Xbox going forward. I chat via XBL still, players on Forza barely know the difference that I’m not on an Xbox. I think that’s honestly the more powerful and better combo going forward.

At the end of the day the Xbox one X is a great system that spec wise is a work of art. And third party games will be look better on the X.

I own all three systems and i am glad to do so. I am a PlayStation fan first and foremost because they provide me with years worth of compelling games that speak to me. Until they stop making games I love to play PS will by my #1 console. And oh my god i am in love with VR. I was very skeptical in the beginning but man it's so much fun. And that is what gaming is all about.

While I love the X, I bought it to be my 4k player and for third party games that I won't be getting the platinum trophy on. Their first party line up to me is incredibly weak. Cuphead is amazing though!!! Please give me more of that.

In my opinion the games you want to play will dictate the system people do the majority of their gaming on. Which is why i play my PlayStation the most, switch and then Xbox.

Yes the X is more powerful and by a lot in certain areas with the games showing it in terms of Rez and 4K textures which the Pro cannot do with the amount of RAM it currently has. However the Pro has more exclusives and the third party games still look very good on the Pro in terms of IQ. So if your content with the Pro then enjoy it or else if you can have both then do it. I have both and yes the X runs pretty much all the third party games better and Gears 4 and Halo 5 are like different games with 4K textures and Rez. It pretty much makes every game I have look better even without patches so that’s pretty impressive from a hardware standpoint. However I can only play God of War on my Pro as well as some other amazing Sony exclusives so I’m happy to have both.

The difference is not "slight", it's bigger than anyone thought it would be, because not only does the X offer higher resolutions, but also better textures, lighting, draw distances, and everything else that makes up visual quality, thanks in no small part to the significant amount of extra ram available to Devs.
