As you may all know, Chelsea isn't a very likeable club for everyone..It has its positives and negatives but lately, all I have witnessed are negatives. Roman has always been impatient, everyone knows that and I was still shocked that he sacked Robbie after all his success and popularity in the club. It was bad enough they disgracefully sacked a club legend but how the hell could they appoint someone who has openly thrashed the club and its fans? It was obvious from the start it was because of the massive flop (Yes, I have finally admitted it) Fernando Torres, he was a huge factor in Robbie's sacking and Benitez's appointment.
Now the thing that infuriates me with the club is how it's run, our board is a disgrace and lately it has proven they hit a new low, they have removed Roberto Di Matteo from Champions League celebrations posters and now they have banned "Come home Jose" banners..So now fans can't voice their opinions? It was bad enough they appointed a manager we loathe but now we can't even voice our opinions about the next man who WE want to get appointed? This club is run by businessmen who have no interest over football and its fans (except Roman, who really loves the club). People like Bruce Buck and Ron Gourlay are the reason this club is at this stage, they have been Roman's advisors for so long and their influence was key to lots of controversial/horrible decisions that happened in this club.
I really hope one day Chelsea will be run by people who actually love the club, who aren't a disgrace to their fans and know how to properly run a club. One can dream...
Football is becoming a business more than a sport imo...
By the looks of it you just have to hope that Benitez can get you into the top 4 finish (it should happen as I don't see Arsenal/everton making too deep a run this season).
Mou should be back come the summer, by himself he should be able to bring in some bigger quality into the club.
