Last weekend's starting line-up for Arsenal was just nothing short of suicide, IMO. Bellerin, one of the best LB's in the league, was playing as RM, only a 3 men defense, and Wellbeck up front while Giroud and Lacazette stuck on the bench. Absolutely ridiculous.

How many times does Giroud have to save Wenger's ass before he'll be in the starting 11...!? Great player, ridiculously underrated.

Yeah, Martial seems their brightest young player. Been very impressed with him. He reminds me more of a young Kluivert though. Very all-round. Great player, beautiful technique.

Why would anyone want Zlatan anyway? He's only been 'great' while playing for the very best clubs in very mediocre leagues. He's a fine forward, but of you're looking for a big strong target man like that, I would go for a Lukaku.

1: This is probably a (CGI) viral for Adidas.
2: Johan Cruyff did it once, for real, with a pack of cigarettes.

Pretty much every keeper will sometimes have a day like that. He's a fantastic GK though. Absolutely LOVED him at PSV.

Well, perhaps Sterling has seen Gerrard being 'loyal' and 'professional' his whole life, yet never winning the league, and ending his career on a bit of a disappointment...!?

Sterling is one of the brightest British talents in years, and he's been at Liverpool for a few good years now, and it's not that weird that he wants to move on to a club that competes for the league title every year, as well as qualifies for the CL every year.

I don't believe Arsenal needs another striker, with Giroud, Walcott and Sanchez already in the squad and all 3 of them are fantastic.

Also not sure if they need Reus, considering their creative midfielders they have already.

1 suggestion I would make as far as possible targets go, would be Jethro Willems, a fantastic Right-Back, who plays for PSV and Oranje, and while he's not the best defender in the world (most wide-backs aren't btw), he's ...

I disagree strongly. I think he's one of the brightest managers in the Premier League.

Big part of the problem was Sturridge being out for most of the season, Balo not performing on the level as was expected from him, either by a lack of form, quality, or simply not fitting in, and Sterling had a dip in form, which is normal for a kid his age.

In midfield, Coutinho occasionally stepped up and performed, but hardly anyone else did. Gerrard has been past hi...

Arsenal have been underestimating Walcott and more of their 'own' talents for years, and overestimating their bought players, who have been allowed to put in years of mediocre performances and still getting all the playtime they want.

Walcott has rarely even gotten a fair chance in his preferred position as main deep striker, instead being dumped on the bench or on the wings...

If I were him, I would have left Arsenal a long time ago, cause he basica...

Not sure why that's a problem. I think it shows class and sportmansship. Someone does something of an extraordinary quality, and you can praise him for that.

I agree he should stay at Liverpool for the next few years, cause he needs to be playing every week so he keeps developing.

That said, he's one of the biggest young talents in Europe, and I can understand him holding out for a bigger paycheck, with the Premier League being the biggest and most popular competition in the world.

It's just a ridiculous statement to make. If Messi had chosen to play for Spain instead of Argentina, he still would have been the exact same player he is now, but he would have had 2-3 World Cups by now.

Both Ronaldo and Messi have been showing football which is just on a completely different level, and they've been doing so consistently for 10 years or something. They absolutely both belong in that list of all-time greats, together with Cruyff, Pele, and Maradona......

Huge talent. Would be nice to see him playing on a regular basis in the Premier League.

Liverpool could have used him these last few months, although obviously they couldn't have known Sturridge getting a bij injury, Balo not fitting in, and Sterling having a slight dip in form, so I understand why they decided to let him gain more experience in France.

I don't know, cause I'm not familiar with all the big Liverpool players, but he's been very inconsistent for quite a few years now.

Not just these past 18 months orso, but even before that, when for 2-3 years it was Kuyt who was a more valuable and consistent player than Gerrard.

He's scored some amazing goals and obviously he's been a great player for Liverpool, but I don't think he's as fantastic as some people try to make him o...

Ochoa was amazing last WC. Tremendous keeper.

I really hope Liverpool will hang on to Rodgers, cause he's a great coach, and one of the first in ages to actually make Liverpool play decent football that's fun to watch. He's been a bit unlucky this season with his forwards not delivering, be it because they're in poor form, or simply because they're injured (Sturridge), and gerrard has bene over the hill for quite a few years now. Occasionally still impres...

He's one of the biggest talents in Europe right now, and certainly one of Liverpool's best players, perhaps their best (Gerrard is far past his prime).

Do I believe 70,000 pounds a week is a lot of money for kicking a ball around? Of course, no question.

However, there are w whole lot of players right now in the PL, of MUCH lesser quality than Raheem, and certainly less important to their teams, who earn a lot more money than him.

So ...

Because Van Gaal is a genius who's already proven his worth time and time again, when he's given the time to build the club and the system from the ground up.

Ajax, Barcelona, Bayern... those clubs have all greatly benefitted from what Van Gaal built in the whole organisation, from the youth-academy to the club-management, and everything in-between.

As soon as the players will understand his system and ideas and will put them into practice on the fie...
