Van Gaal abandoned the 3-5-2 at half time. So much for that formation. Utd still look very weak at the back. Don't think this will be a great season for them either.
Bubbles for asking, you know you get on these sites and they lack a real feeling to them, but to come back and see someone cares if your Christmas went well and it makes your day lol. Cut was excellent though...
United will improve, but the fact remains the transfers required have still not yet happened. Top 4 clubs last year have all brought in more new players than United who needed quality reinforcements considerably more. That screams out terrible failure in this transfer window right now, again.
Shaw and Herrera were a great start, good buys early on this summer with many people expecting a barrage of deals, ins and outs. But then it just......stopped.
United need at least one more defender, one more midfielder, and one more winger all of the highest calibre. This is the MINIMUM required. United are horribly lightweight defensively and still lack genuine world class in midfield. Herrera is good, but certainly not yet in that category.
Now there is only two weeks left to get them. There will be a HUGE backlash coming to the likes of Ed Woodward who stated a month ago now to "watch this space" when it comes to deals if they don't get in the door.
Another failed summer for signings just cannot be tolerated for a club of United's stature and wealth.
I don't see your point. Look at the 5 YEARS before that (05/06-10/11), never mind 5 windows. United's net spend for 5 years before that was about £14m...total!! While City and Chelsea were spending 200-300m net building their teams.
Letting the squad degrade since that time and needing to replace home grown players has meant United need to spend more than most recently to get back on top.
However I can see United finishing inside the top 4 again comfortably this year.
Great game!

..all I seen was the 1st half, had to get a haircut. When was the last time United loss an opener at home at that...

Damn, I thought Van Gaal was going to do a bit better than that.
I wonder how many Man U fans will convert to City this year. They gotta hunt that glory.
