Chelsea have a history of about 8 years total, and that's only because of some Russian gangster billionaire decided to buy them for his pet project. Liverpool have 18 league titles and 5 European cups, as well as a load of other trophies built over a period of decades doing it the hard way.

It's not so much a case of him leaving as Real getting rid of him. They need a new Galactico attacking player in there and they've run out of space on the wings (CR7 and Bale) and no10 (James). Di Maria, Ozil and Higuain made way before. If Aguero, Cavani or Falcao are next then Benzema could be told to take a hike.
Can't see Madrid getting rid though. He's in the form of his life and has influential people like Zidane supporting him at the club.
Out of those 3 mentioned, only Aguero is likely, youngest and most talented.
And if rumours are to be believed, Madrid can't afford another Galactico, they have to pay around $250m in debts in the next calendar year, half of the believed club debt. Although and doubt it's that high.
Madrid will want £50m easily, form and age makes £50m as a starting point a no brainer. Liverpool can't afford that money and his wage will be higher than anyone else at the club. FFP and wage structure at Liverpool would be destroyed by him.
