He should be coming off the bench, and so should overrated players like Lallana. I've been watching Liverpool for over 20 years. Those two aren't good enough for a Liverpool starting XI.
For whatever reason Rodgers believes in the lightweight holding midfielder. Sometimes it works and others times its abysmal. But its high time the club addresses this problem. As much as I love Lucas we are lucky to get a full year from him - he's too injury prone. Would love to see LFC go after the likes of a Gonalons a true DMF.
I agree with you on Allen, but i strongly disagree about Lallana, he is an excellent player. The problem has been a lack of a striker, we never replaced Suarez. If Studge had not been injured the table would look different.
Probably true, although Rodgers' meddling with the formation early in the season and dropping players left and right didn't help the team's form whatsoever. A lot of that is on him. There were massive mistakes made in the transfer window, and it took him half a season to figure out a system that worked with the players he has. If Liverpool don't make CL football, that could cost him his job. Liverpool need at least two double figure goal scorers in the squad to challenge again.
