Police open investigation as Mario Balotelli suffers racial abuse on Twitter

Coming from an ACMilan fan, where racism is seen as normal and a part of everyday life. In Italy, they appointed a racist as head of the federation; in England police pursue a few idiots - speaks volumes I would say.

Way to judge an entire fanbase based on just a few fans. The people who were being racist are scum, whether they are Man Utd fans or not

Yup. It should be up to Twitter to sort them out, not the police. Just ban their email accounts from using twitter. It would be a right pain in the ass for these idiots to have to create a new email address to sign back up to twitter again. They will give up eventually or shut up.

Your word choice isnt correct - I think you mean 'native' Italians and English are not black. But then again native Americans arent black or white, European or African, but they've effectively made it their home so that the term 'American' refers to them. Likewise black people in Europe have just as much a right to call themselves 'genuine' Italians, French, English etc without the racist abuse. Same goes for white people in Africa, especially South Africa where they proudly refer to themselves as African.

It's a global world - trying to group people into colours and nationalities is a thing of the past.

Not sure why you're attacking him - he didnt report it. Twtr automatically report racist etc tweets to the police and delete the tweet and (potentially) the account. Suppose it says more about you and your white-supremacist views.
