Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers has confirmed that Manchester City have made an offer for Reds defender Daniel Agger.
But the Northern Irishman says the Premier League winners' bid is some way off Liverpool's valuation for the centre-back.
There had been reports that Liverpool had rejected a City bid in the region of 20 million pounds for the Danish international, and Rodgers says it would take 'a ridiculous offer' for the Anfield club to sell one of their prized assets.
LFC don't have any reason to sell Agger, he is happy at the club, and thus it would take some monstrous transfer fee to buy him. City have been splashing away money for the past few seasons so it's only fair to demand an enormous fee from them
