Swansea defender Ashley Williams will face no action from the Football Association for kicking a ball at the head of Manchester United’s Robin van Persie.
I Still don't see the problem with this, true RVP got hit hard, but no reason to punish more harshly, a yellow should be more than enough. I didn't see any intention to hurt RVP. At most it seems like he reacted like any defender trying to get the ball away. He could have easily kicked him in the head if he wanted to. If they were to punish him for this then they would have to start punishing free kick takers when they hit someone in the head with the ball.
He got a yellow card for doing it, what more do you want? you'd think Williams had kicked him in the back of the head the way SAF and the media have banged on about this incident.
If RvP could really have been killed by a football hitting him then we had better look into adopting NFL style body protection, we don't need to though because SAF and the media are just talking out of their backsides.
Inconsistent, we all remember this.

Didn't he get booked for clearing the ball? I think that's enough.
