He's very likely to push the likes of Arteta and even now Flamini down the pecking order. But for the sake of squad depth, that's actually a good thing. It means we actually have high quality backup we can rely on.
More importantly, Wenger can now go a lot easier on Wilshere now, especially given his current injury record.

Ryo and Frimpong can get some games in the midfield and wings too. Looking at that list if it wasnt for the injuries Arsenal really have a good(small), but good squad. Maybe Ozil wasnt a priority, but its still nice to see some intent from the Club

I think you're wrong. This will bring us closer to the title as long as we will be kept injury free. When Fabregas played alongside Adebayor he made him a natural goal scorer.
With Ozil providing assists (he is rated the player with the most assists in the world) to Giroud I think it will make him a better player thus creating more goals and taking us possibly to the top 2. With a combination of Wilshere - Ozil - Cazorla and Ramsey this will create a very creative midfield. The only thing that bothers me is the defense, its very injury prone and that will be a problem.
Ozil is without doubt a brilliant player but by himself Arsenal aren't going to be title contenders. Arsenal needed more than one player, but it's a start I guess.
You yourself recognise how poor your defence can be to be honest and you still don't precisely have the greatest strikers. You still lack a true top class striker up front.
Ozil has improved the side but if you think that'll now make you contenders looking at the depth of City Chelsea and United 's squads then you may be in for a shock.
I guess we will have to wait until Christmas. If Giroud doesn't score goals, gets injured (he's had a brilliant start to the season, btw), then I believe Wenger will purchase somebody in January. Giroud has potential, especially when he gets the service he needs as a striker. Don't knock him out just yet.
It's hard to believe he is only 24 as well. Feels like he has been around forever. Goes to show how good he is. Arsenals midfield is possibly the best in the PL now. They just need to shore up that defense (they already have good defenders in my opinion, just need to tighten the screws) and good cover for giroud, who is looking better and better.
I think most of the United fans wanted a creative player that can play that final ball for the strikers. If Rooney gets his head straight he can do it, but it seems he wants to be the main striker and not play in the midfield. Kagawa seems to have been bought for marketing more than anything like Arsenal have with a couple of players from Asia. So he is not someone that either Fergie or Moyes ever thought off as a first choice player.

Then include flamini behind them and our midfield is better then when we had nasri fabs wilshiere and song! Nasri would never get in this midfield now.
