To be fair Kos and Mertesacker have been rock solid for most of the season. I wouldn't blame the defence anymore, the mids (Santi, Arteta, Ozil, Podolski) just don't track back and aren't good at defending when they do. Ramsey is fast becoming one of the best central mids in the world, would definitely have been third player of the year behind Suarez and Yaya had he not got injured. His stats are unreal, most tackles, goals and assists from central midfield ratio wise.
Congrats to Arsenal and especially Wenger, seriously I don't support Arsenal and maybe they should have had at least a couple of trophies over the years but what this man has done without spending much is nothing short of amazing. Who's the specialist in failure now Mourinho? 2 of the most expensive squads ever assembled yet 0 trophies in 2 years
Dont get me wrong, i love the BFG, he wears his heart on his sleeve, but he is to slow in todays Premiership, we need another strong world class defender to partner Kos or The Verminator.
Very good points. I have always thought Wenger was top class. I don't know many managers that could get Arsenal into the top four every year with very little transfer funds over the years. It's an amazing job.
Also, if Ramsey hadn't of gotten injured I think they would have right up the league at the end. Soon as he got injured their form dropped off.
Totally agree, we had 3 good penalty shouts, one of the commentators on BT sport kept bleating on about the "travesty" of the Sanago corner that wasn't for the whole second and extra time, yet he conveniently forgot about the tug on Giroud in the box and the foul on Santi as he was about to shoot or the handball by spud livermore.
Think the better team won, but kudos to Hull, they scared the crap outta the Arse.
Wenger needs to spend in the summer, keep hold of Fab, get a RB to replace Sags(Jenko is just not ready yet), sign a quality defender(Hummels), to top it off a world class striker(Benzema or Diego Costa).
Neither Hummels nor Diego Costa would ever go to Arsenal. Especially with much better teams knocking on their door. I also like the person above calling Mou a failure, conveniently forgetting that Wenger had to wait 9 years for yesterdays FA Cup
@Koyes. Yes, 9 years without spending anything close to what the other top teams have spent over the years. Wenger has done an amazing job at Arsenal given the resources he has had to work with.

Finally the wait is over! This is the first time I've seen Arsenal win a major trophy since I started following them in 2006.
This is a good step in the right direction for once. Now lets get a few quality additions in the summer and kick on.

Last time Arsenal won anything I was in secondary school. Since then i've done a law degree and started a traineeship. Feels like forever ago now!
