Former Bayern Munich midfielder Owen Hargreaves has branded criticism of coach Pep Guardiola's first season at the Allianz Arena "ridiculous".
The Bavarians won the Bundesliga in record time and can complete a domestic double on Saturday when they take on Borussia Dortmund in the DFB-Pokal final.
As a neutral all I've seen of them is when they play in the Champions League so ignoring all of the mickey mouse Bundesliga teams I would say he has made them worse.
Last season under Heynckes they played brilliant, direct attacking football, thrashed Juventus 4-0 over two legs, thrashed Barcelona 7-0 over two legs and looked great doing it. This season they struggled against a severely out of form Man United side, got thrashed 5-0 over two legs by Real Madrid who had less than 30% of the ball, whilst in both legs they looked more interested in winning pointless statistics than scoring a goal which was utterly boring to watch.
