Feel bad for Brazil, such a way to leave the tournament especially in your own country.
Instead of any Brazilian player showing brilliance, the whole team fell apart, this is the worst possible outcome for a weak Brazilian side against a very strong German side.
Found out in the end, it's been coming like I said in the Colombia comments. Brazil are an average side that rode their luck and had favourable decisions. Came up against genuine class today, and got destroyed. Horrific to watch, will stand as THE worst semi final performance for a very, very, very long time. Excruciating.
While I agree, I think it's the opposite way around; Germany came up against an absolute mess. Most of the goals were walk ins due to diabolical defending.
Said it the whole way, Brazil are rubbish and needed help to get that far. Played ugly, went out ugly. Who told me that the Samba years weren't over? Yeah right! Chelsea laughing all the way to the bank with that David Luiz transfer.
I think people just went crazy for them because they beat a dated Spain system. Assuming because they did, they're the new standard, clearly not. The Netherlands did that too but needed penalties to beat Costa Rica. Hell, most of those Germany players got hammered by Madrid in the Champions League Quarter and Semi-Finals.
As vulcanproject said, 50m for Luiz, beat Mou & Roman are laughing to the bank. Saying that though, Silva will steady that ship at PSG.
Argentine, Germany final for me. I'd love Messi to win it too (coming from a Madrid supporter).
I was expecting a lot tighter match and the first few minutes the signs of a new classic game were in the air as both Germany and Brazil had a good energy level. Then, things just fell apart. For the bronze match Brazil will be getting Silva back so i'm expecting a lot better defense in that game compared to the utter disaster that i just witnessed.
I agree, I was expecting a 2-1 or 3-1 for Germany, but not this. Brazil was winning ugly, but obviously a moment of brilliance as I said before could've given them a crazy win, but the complete opposite happened, Brazil didn't even show up, and doing that against a German side like this? The recipe for complete disaster.
i dont know if the germans raised their game to another level or if brazil were in a worse disaster than we might have thought. nobody predicted this score line.
brazil hearts crushed as soon as the third goal went in. was sad to see. germany were clinical and ruthless, have to give them the credit they deserve.
lets hope after 4 semi-finals they can successfully take home the crown.
Seeing David Luiz cry like that during the interview... damn dese feelz. I am certain, not predicting, absolutely certain, that he will shine again. This loss cannot be put entirely on him, his quality as a player is not reduced in my opinion. Real Madrid fans kept saying Ramos was crap after their disappointments a few years back, and now look what he did for his team. What happened to those Bayern defenders in the CL? Every great defender can easily experience a beating and will rise again. David Luiz a world class defender, hope he keeps his head up.
There is a reason Jose never played the "world class defender" in defence. He is terrible in a back four and way overrated. Complete liability. Chelsea done some great business getting 50m for him.
I do not care what an annoying manager with a tired formula does with a world class defender. I only care for how he performs and what he can add to a team. There is also a reason why many top clubs and, coaches wanted this man on their team.
Well, here's an idea for Brazil. They should look into buying Ea's World CUP Brazil. That way they can try to win the world cup as much as they want. They can pause the game or restart the game.
The world cup was Germany's to lose after Spain and Italy(They always seem to get the better of the Germans) went out in the group stages. Germany had the best squad in the tournament after Spain. It'd be great to see Ozil, Per and Poldi lift the world cup.
Well, i'm hoping that Argentina makes it to the final. World's greatest forward Messi vs. the greatest goalkeeper Neuer. That should be entertaining. What's more, i have this silly world cup ideal of a final where the teams come from different continents.
I really hope England finally take notice of what Germany have done n do the same. Block foreign ownership of our football clubs, force clubs to invest in home grown youth and play a majority english/British players.
And for gods sake lets have a UK team, Germany or America etc don't play as their seperate states. with giggs in midfield n bale up front we might of done something more. But like always the UK 30years behind everybody else and selfish FA's have cavemen thinking.
It goes far deeper than that though, England lacks leadership in every facet of society, pretty much all of their major infastructures and companies are foreign owned now.
I agree we should have a British team though, that I could really get behind, together we have accomplished so much.
I hope for a Netherland's/Germany final, with the Netherland's winning, the Netherland's are long overdue a win.
Germany are not quite as strong as a very poor Brazil made them look mind. I'm just really happy that Brazil went out like they did, they played horribly cynical football and got through on biased referee decisions and home advantage alone, I would've lost all interest in international football if they won the world cup.
Germany made them look like a team of amateur school boys. Just an amazing team, I saw the first match they played and I said I think they'll win, and by this performance they deserve to!
You need a good defence to beat this German squad, and Brazil has a good midfield and good strikers, their defence sucks that's why the lost so bad.
Unbelievable.
Brazilian football will be at a all time low..
Germany tank on.

Also, David Luiz 50m?
Oh dear

Like I said the other day, utterly average in every position and only Neymar looked a world beater!
