but the ballon d'or is like a joke and lost meaning...first was giving it to messi 4 years in a row when other players deserved it (im referring to 2010 and 2012. lets not start an argument here. we all had these discussions before. just my opinion), second was giving it to ronaldo when ribery deserved it just so that blatter could save face. now they wanna give it to a german when clearly, inidividually, ronaldo is unchalleged for the award.

But no nother players are as good as CR or Messi. Maybe Neuer is amazing as a goalkeeper. But look at Hummels how poor he plays right now at Dortmund. Well, Götze is great at Bayern. But to be honest the opponents are not as good as they may seem in Germany. He scores 2 times against Bremen but Bremen plays a football to look away. So do other Teams in Germany too. They may have a great match here and there but overall there are clubs in Italy or Spain that are much better looking over the whole league. Only Bayern and normally BVB are very strong. Sometimes Leverkusen. Who is left? Schweinsteiger? He finally played in the world club like he must play as a player with his experience and skills. But is that really maximum world class? Germany as a national team and their Bundesliga was and will ever be overrated. This coming from someone who is german and Dortmund Fan. But also half italian. I watch football for many years and follow Bundesliga for so long. Germany stays and falls with the mentality of their opponents. When they have no fear and play like they can (Italy, Spain etc) Germany won't win. Same is in champions league.
well he actually got a point. we focus too much on goal statistics and individual skill, and forget that football is about teamwork. there is no exceptional player in fcbayern and dortmund, but look at those boys statistics in the last 4 years. a great player does not have to be the one with most individual skill, but also a good teammate.
i hope neuer get the trophy, bayerns defense has never been this much trouble but its still a hell to penetrate bayern in every match. it's hard to beat a gk/sweeper :D
