Park rejected Utd deal for QPR move

South Korean midfielder Park Ji-Sung has revealed that he turned down the offer of increased wages at Manchester United to join Queens Park Rangers.

Park, 31, was unveiled at QPR on Tuesday following a move for an undisclosed fee. The midfielder revealed that it was he who had asked for the transfer due to a lack of playing time at Old Trafford.

Fair play to him for wanting more regular first team football. He's still got bags of energy and will be a real asset to QPR.

Park is a class footballer. He had a choice of collecting high wages and rotting on the bench, or going to a smaller club and trying to make a difference. Not all footballers will choose the latter
