BRENDAN RODGERS is determined to fend off interest in Liverpool FC centre-backs Martin Skrtel and Daniel Agger as he looks to tie them down to new deals.
The Reds boss, who also confirmed there has been “good dialogue” with striker Luis Suarez over a contract extension, has held positive talks with both defenders.
Skrtel and Agger, whose current deals expire in 2014, have been linked with moves elsewhere this summer but Rodgers is confident they will remain at Anfield and believes the duo are key to Liverpool’s future.
