Liverpool midfielder Lucas Leiva believes Joe Allen can become a key player for the club after exciting his team-mates in training.
Allen became new manager Brendan Rodgers' second signing following Italian striker Fabio Borini's arrival on Merseyside.
Lucas, who is likely to line up alongside the Welshman in central midfield, has claimed his new colleague's quality was there for all to see when he joined up with the squad for the first time.
They will pair up well together
