BR - It's official. Midfielder Alex Song is now a member of FC Barcelona, signing a five-year deal with the club after Arsenal agreed to sell him for £15 million (h/t ESPN FC).
This is a major acquisition for the La Liga powerhouse, as the 24-year-old Song is one of the most reliable defensive midfielders in the world. He had been a fixture at Arsenal since 2008-09, making at least 38 appearances in each of the last four seasons.
