I didn't watch the game, but it seems City are just not performing like they should with all of that talent.

To be honest its just another example of the top teams not taking the competition serious enough. City starting with a couple of youngsters like Suarez and never bothered. Villa wanted it more.

Happens every year and the top teams only perform in these competitions when they come up against each other as they save themselves for other major competitions like the league.

Proof in the pudding is Manchester united losing to crystal palace at home 1-2 two years ago (2010-2011) and still going on to winning the league. They started that year off slowly aswell they were outside the top 4 for the first 2-3 months. So you cant also take the first few games as how a teams going to do in the long run.

Difference is we played a young side against crystal palace.

You lot had Lescott, Toure, Kolarov, Milner , Barry, Tevez, Balotelli. At least a 100m worth of players and you got smashed at home.

Like I said, now everyone has their eyes on City's scalp you will find it much more difficult in all competitions.

Yeah good, but too inconsistent and have been really under performing for a while.
