Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers has admitted he will be looking to strengthen his squad in the January transfer window.
The Reds are short of options in attack after failing to bring in a replacement for Andy Carroll before the close of the summer transfer window.
I wonder if Rodgers will finish the season in charge. That screw up of sending Carrol on loan before he had secured a new signing still amazes me. Every season that Passes Liverpool seems to get further and further away from the top four. At this rate Liverpool will find it too hard to compete with the top teams in England and Europe for new quality signings unless a sugar daddy comes along. They will find themselves fighting with the Evertons and New Castles of the EPL and other top leagues for signings. Spurs IMO already have a more pull with good players than Liverpool does. The old days of seeing Arsenal, Liverpool and Machester United on fairly even terms seem to be long gone with both Chelsea and Manchester City joining the top of the League. Liverpool's owner problems could not have come at a worst time for them.
