Kompany defends referee Mike Dean after dismissal against Arsenal

The Manchester City centre-back says he understands the difficulty of refereeing after being given a straight red card for a challenge with Jack Wilshere in his side's 2-0 win

The story is too old to be commented.

Nice guy Kompany over here...

Most people would (understandably) be pissed off with the Ref's decision to be sent off. Rare to see someone defend the ref, let alone the guy that was sent off.

You don't think City have the most expensive public relations team telling them just exactly what to say.

I just read that City are appealing the decision... mixed signals here.

^ ya that's why Balotelli makes an ass of himself every week. Is it that hard to believe that a city player could be a good guy? You're a bit biased magoo.

"You're a bit biased magoo."

I agree.

Balotelli though is beyond the limits of any man, the guy is a fool unto himself. It's not unreasonable to think billionaires City have a huge PR department.

Bet Kompany wouldn't be defending him if City lost the game..Still, nice of him to publicly back him up!

I am a United fan but I do like Kompany and also Hart at City. For me they are the 2 players that really care for the Fans and the team.

I watched League of there own a few weeks ago and they had Kompany on there and he looked like a decent guy off the pitch.

I do think it was a red card though as he did go in two footed and off the ground but no one was hurt bad in it and if that's what the fa decided to do so be it lets move on and get back to what matters and that the title race between the two Manchester clubs again only this time lets not let our lead slip.
