Well done Arsene Wenger. Gets stick from the fans every season but still manages to get the worst Arsenal side I have seen in years into the Champions League.
To be fair qualifying for the Champions League is second only to winning the domestic league title (and that's primarily because winning the league title includes Champions League qualification).
If Arsenal hadn't been celebrating then Spurs would have been, the domestic cups and Europa League are 2nd rate competitions by comparison.
Arsenal were written off by the majority of neutrals after we lost at white heart lane. 7 point deficit. Spuds were flying... it couldn't happen again...surely
Getting forth or third was the only thing we could fight for. Arsenals end of season run was quite an achievement for the worst arsenal team in years. Doesn't say too much for the rest of the league.
With 4th, arsenal MAY attract a higher calibre of player than if we were 5th. The board have to spend this window or risk fading into peoples memories as a big club quicker than we are already

I wouldn't say it's an awful arsenal side.
There have been many games this season that arsenal were totally in control of, and still managed to draw or lose.
Sure there are some so so players in the side and Wenger does need to spend.
Giroud, ramsey, Walcott(too soft), should be sold imo.
Get rid of them, add 2 new strong midfielders, winger, and striker.
Also they need to stop pissing around with the ball so much, not direct enough and don't shoot enough.
